Wizkid And Others Opened Doors For Us, He Doesn’t Want Me To Make Same Mistakes He Made : Oxlade

Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman aka Oxlade, a prominent musician from Nigeria, has described how Wizkid’s career counsel has benefited him thus far.

In an interview with Kiss FM UK, Oxlade, who revealed that he lives in the same Surulere neighborhood as Wizkid, revealed that the pioneer of afrobeat had instructed him to study his musical style, borrow some elements from it, expand his brand, and create his own narrative.

Additionally, he disclosed that the “Starboy” singer does not want him to commit the same errors that he did.

Furthermore, Oxlade claimed that Wizkid and other OGs provided opportunities for younger afrobeat artists to succeed.

The singer said that he simply had fun on stage with Wizkid during their recent performance at the 21,000-seat Accor arena in Paris, France.
