Sarkodie, Ghana's most celebrated rapper and legendary music icon, has revealed that Black Sherif requested to appear on his "Jamz" album at the last minute.
The 10-song album, which will be released on November 11th, includes nine collaborations with major African musicians and one solo song.
Ghanaians are especially taken with the album's standout track, "Country side," which features Black Sherif.
In an interview with Culture Daily on 3Music TV on Thursday, November 10, Sarkodie explained that, contrary to popular belief, he chose to include Black Sherif on the album because he is currently Ghana's hottest artist.
"Many thanks to my superstar Blacko." 'Landlord, I have to be on Jamz,' Blacko texted me at the last minute of this project. "I said, pull up," Sarkodie revealed.
