EPL: Aston Villa Come From Behind To Beat Brighton

Unai Emery made it back-to-back Premier League victories as Aston Villa manager with a 2-1 victory over Brighton, thanks to a Danny Ings double.

Alexis Mac Allister's press robbed Douglas Luiz of possession inside the first 90 seconds before sweeping home the opener for in-form Brighton.

Villa, despite their shaky start, equalized when Ings scored from the penalty spot after Lewis Dunk fouled John McGinn.

After the break, Ings scored his second goal of the game, squeezing in from close range after Luiz exacted revenge on Mac Allister by pressing him to create the opportunity for the Villa striker.

Brighton huffed and puffed in search of a leveler, but arguably the best chance came via a penalty appeal for a foul on Solly March by Lucas Digne, but VAR, despite reviewing the situation, decided against awarding the spot kick.

The victory marked Villa's first away victory in the Premier League this season, as a change in management has helped the club's season get back on track ahead of the World Cup.
