The Black Stars of Ghana have been ranked the 24th best team out of the 32 teams that qualified for the just ended FIFA World Cup held in Qatar.
Entering the World Cup, the Black Stars were the least ranked team, taking the 61st position on FIFA rankings.
The Black Stars faced Uruguay, South Korea, and Portugal at the group stages (group H) and were unable to progress to the next stage as they finished at the bottom of the group with the least points.
The Black Stars lost all but one game against South Korea, wining 3-2, but were defeated 2-0 and 3-2 by Uruguay and Portugal respectively.
Despite not making it out of the group stages, Ghana’s Black Stars went up the rank which counts as a win for the team.
