Legendary Ghanaian highlife musician Kojo Antwi, has hinted at a name change in the year 2023 as part of re-branding.
According to the celebrated musician, he will be pursuing other things aside music in the year 2023 and a name change is in the plan.
“Next year we will be pursuing something else. There is a change of name coming,” he told Roselyn Felli on Prime Morning.
The “Music Man” believes that even though there may be a change of his name, he is not going to completely forgo his “Kojo Antwi” brand.
“I can always go back and tap into it, but I still believe there’s a lot that I have that is not out there. So the book has other things that come to it. There’s a whole lot coming.”
After decades of being referred to a highlife singer, Kojo Antwi has set the records straight when it comes to his genre of music.
“My music is called Afro Pop, African Popular Music,” he clarified.
Kojo Antwi further explained that the highlife elements found in his songs is because his versatility.
Kojo Antwi fans are promised a new album, his fourteenth in the coming year.
