Many have been closely scrutinizing CCTV footage from the night of the shooting, with some pointing to AKA’s close friend Don Design as a potential suspect based on his body language.

A segment of South Africans on Twitter have expressed their support for Don Design, due to his close friendship with the rapper/producer. Don Design is a multi-talented individual who is known as a DJ, fashion designer, music video producer, and creative director.
He first met the rapper, Jealousy after leaving his equipment in Free State, and he managed to get it back to him. Don Design then proposed to shoot behind-the-scenes footage for the rapper, which was accepted six months later. They collaborated on several projects, including the music video for “Kontrol” featuring DA L.E.S, which was directed by Yanga and produced by Young Legend Films. They even shut down the Nelson Mandela Bridge to film a music video for “Run Jozi” in 2014.
Don Design eventually became AKA’s creative director and later ventured into DJing and producing. His first major release was the single “Python,” along with AKA and Moozlie.
He has produced videos for Moozlie and also designed her outfits. Don Design was also responsible for designing AKA’s merchandise, such as the “Head Honcho” and “Supa Mega” collections, before launching his own label, Monday2Monday.
He even collaborated with AKA’s brother on the “F*cking Relax” merchandise.
Don Design dropped out of law school to pursue his passion for music. He started his career at a record house called For Real, where he sold house music records.
