Afrobeats Superstar, Davido has hinted that Nigeria will be hosting the Afro Nation festival for the first time this year.
The ‘Fall’ hitmaker made this revelation during an interview on Hot 97 as he is currently on a media tour to promote his new album titled ‘Timeless’.
“Afro Nation is going to Lagos for the first time, so that’s gonna be fire,” he disclosed.
His comment comes after the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana Tourism Authority, Akwasi Agyemang, had divulged in an interview on Asaase Radio that he was informed that other countries had expressed interest in hosting events like AfroFuture (formerly Afrochella) as well as Afro Nation.
“Other countries are pushing. I mean I know, Ruddy, talk to the Afrochella guys and Little Havana. People have approached them. Countries have approached them to bring the events to them,” he stated.
Afro Nation is an annual three-day music festival produced by Live Nation, Event Horizon, Smade Entertainment, and Memories of Tomorrow. It is a music festival which offers a line-up packed with talent from the worlds of Afrobeat, hip hop, R&B, dancehall and bashment.
