Kanye West 's documentary has been pre-sold to several broadcasters.
The documentary, titled "We Need To Talk About Kanye," will follow Ye's controversial presidential campaign in the 2024 US election at a time when his behaviour sparked outrage among the public.
It will be fronted by investigative journalist Mobeen Azhar attempts to figure out how Ye has become the most famous and creatively successful artists of his generation while also facing condemnation and notoriety.
Mobeen recently worked on the critically acclaimed film “The Battle for Britney,” which came after the pop star's conservatorship battle.
Kanye's doc will air later this year on BBC Two and will greatly explore his his complicated mind across the film followed by an eight-part podcast series, according to its producer Jeremy Lee.
Jeremy told Variety that the doc will give viewers "unique access to members of Ye’s inner circle" but the rapper will have "no editorial control" over the final product.
He explained the film's driving force, saying: "Ye’s recent behavior has prompted both condemnation and a re-evaluation of his place in popular culture.
"With recent events as a starting point, the documentary and accompanying eight-part podcast series explore Ye’s two decades in the public eye amid a rumoured YE2024 election campaign," Jeremy said.
"It will be underpinned with world-class journalism and unique access to members of Ye’s inner circle, this is a revelation-driven film which sheds new light on recent events.
He added: "Ye is aware of but has no editorial control over the documentary."
The news of Kanye's documentary comes after his ex-wife and father his four kids, Kim Kardashian revealed that she was "open to dating again" after their split.
The pair split in 2021, with their divorce being finalised in 2022. While Kim dated comedian Pete Davidson, Pete and Kanye publicly argued over social media, with Kanye continuously slamming the Saturday Night Live star and eventually forcing him off of Instagram entirely and straining their, now ended relationship.
Sources told Entertainment Tonight: "Kim is more open to dating again and putting herself out there, she is feeling good and confident and is in a great place!"
Kanye has since remarried Bianca Censori, 28, in a non-legally binding ceremony.
