Leading prior to the music industry's largest award show, American record company Empire sponsored a Grammy pre-party in Los Angeles, California, to fete its Nigerian-nominated musicians, Olamide, Fireboy DML, and Asake.
Tina Davis, Wale, The Compozers, DJ Consequence, Jidenna, Sarz, WurlD, Pheelz, Boity Thulo, Musa Keyz, and Poco Lee were also seen attending the party.
Olamide and Asake's collaboration "Amapiano" was nominated for Best African Music Performance, while Fireboy DML was nominated for Album of the Year for his contributions to Jon Batiste's "World Music Radio."
