Ghana has dropped six places in the most recent FIFA World Rankings, following an embarrassing performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Black Stars, who finished the 2023 season in 61st place, have now dropped to 67th on the global rankings while also falling further behind on the African continent.
Ghana is now ranked 14th in the CAF rankings, with Cape Verde, South Africa, and DR Congo all surpassing the four-time AFCON champions.
The changes follow the conclusion of the 2023 AFCON, which was held in Cote d'Ivoire and featured the Elephants staging a host and win campaign.
Ghana exited the group stage with just two points from three games against Cape Verde, Egypt, and Mozambique.
Côte d'Ivoire (39th, up 10) reaps the benefits of their continental success on home soil.
Beaten finalists Nigeria (28th, up 14) makes significant progress but is no match for the Angola team they eliminated in the last eight (93rd, up 24), who are the biggest climbers in the latest global ranking.
