The protest is in response to Ghana's national football team, the Black Stars,' disappointing performance at the recently concluded AFCON 2023 tournament in Cote D'Ivoire.
According to Pulse Ghana, the demonstration, organized by a group of senior sports journalists, aims to put pressure on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports to implement significant reforms within Ghana's football structure in order to revitalize the country's footballing prowess.
The protest began at the Obra Spot, with participants marching through the streets of Accra, and will end at the Independence Square.
