Mohammed Aryeetey won gold at the African Games, defeating Tulembekwa Zola Livens in the Boxing Arena at the Trust Sports Emporium in Bukom.
Aryeetey, former national flyweight champion, won by a unanimous decision.
Aryeetey advanced to the final after defeating Morocco's Hamza Essaidi in another unanimous (5-0) decision.
Meanwhile, another Ghanaian, Joseph Commey, earned his country's second gold medal in the African Games.
In the men's 60kg category, he defeated Zambian Andrew Chilata by unanimous decision.
Later tonight, Amadu Mohammed, Samuel Takyi, and Abubakar Kamoko will compete in their respective finals.
