The Nigerian entertainment industry is in grief following the reported death of renowned actor Olu Jacobs at the age of 81.
The legendary actor, recognized for his extraordinary talent and contributions to Nollywood, died on Sunday morning after a protracted struggle with an undisclosed illness.
In a recent interview, his wife Joke Silva stated that her husband’s ill health had had a tremendous impact on him, and that Olu Jacobs is no longer the guy she married 37 years ago.
Jacobs was most known for his appearances in the films “Ashanti,” “The Dogs of War,” “Pirates,” “Violet,” and “The Royal Hibiscus Hotel.” His deep, booming voice and authoritative screen presence made him popular with fans and colleagues alike.
