FIFA Rankings: Ghana Maintain Position

Ghana’s Black Stars have retained their 64th position in the latest FIFA Coca-Cola world rankings.

The four-time African champions remain the 12th-ranked team on the continent.

Following their successful World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic in June, the Black Stars experienced a temporary rise in the rankings.

However, their inactivity during July, while other nations competed in the European Championship and Copa America, prevented further progress.

Argentina maintained their top spot globally after winning the Copa America, while Spain climbed to third following their Euro success.

In Africa, Morocco, Senegal, and Egypt hold the top three positions.

Ghana’s next competitive fixtures will be the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger in September.

The team aim to secure qualification for the tournament, which is scheduled to be held in Morocco late next year.
