Dreams FC has confirmed the transfer of 18-year-old winger Abdul Aziz Issah to Spanish giants FC Barcelona, completing the deal on transfer deadline day.
Issah, who was named one of CAF’s top young talents, made headlines last season with his remarkable performance in the CAF Confederation Cup.
He scored four goals and provided two assists in ten matches, leading Dreams FC to a historic semi-final, narrowly missing out to Egyptian giants Zamalek.
In the Ghana Premier League, Issah contributed significantly with 17 goal involvements—seven goals and ten assists. He also excelled in the FA Cup, scoring four goals in five games.
On the international stage, Issah played a crucial role in Ghana’s U20 team, which won gold at the Africa Games.
Having risen through Dreams FC’s youth ranks, including stints at Still Believe and In God We Trust FC, Issah’s move to Barcelona marks a significant milestone for the club.
He is expected to join Barca Athletic in the Primera Federación – Group 1, Spain’s third tier, but could earn first-team opportunities under manager Hansi Flick if he impresses.
Issah is the second Ghanaian to join Barcelona this summer, following left-back David Oduro. Dreams FC extends its best wishes to Issah as he embarks on this exciting new chapter.
