John Dramani Mahama Makes First Appointments To Office Of The President

President-elect, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, has announced a series of key appointments to the Office of the President, effective Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

Among those appointed are seasoned individuals who will play pivotal roles in the upcoming administration.

Julius Debrah, a trusted ally and experienced politician, will serve as the Chief of Staff. Dr. Callistus Mahama, an accomplished public servant, will take on the role of Executive Secretary to the President.

In the area of security, Prosper Douglas Bani has been appointed as the Head of the Interim Security Taskforce, tasked with ensuring national security and stability during this transition period.

Dr. Valerie Sawyerr, known for her expertise in governmental affairs, will serve as the Senior Presidential Advisor on Governmental Affairs. Augustus Goosie Tannoh has been appointed as Presidential Advisor, responsible for driving the 24-hour economy and accelerating export development.

Marietta Agyeiwaa Brew, a respected legal expert, will be the Legal Counsel to the President, while Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu takes on the role of Acting Spokesperson to the President.
