President Mahama Appoints Mohammed Abdul-Salam As Acting CEO Of National Lottery Authority


President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Mohammed Abdul-Salam as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Lottery Authority (NLA).

This appointment is in accordance with Article 195(1) of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana and Section 45(1) of the National Lotto Act, 2006 (Act 722).

The appointment is effective immediately and is pending the Constitutionally required advice of the Board of the Authority, given in consultation with the Public Services Commission.

The announcement was made via an official letter signed by Dr Callistus Mahama, Secretary to the President on January 15.

The President expressed his best wishes to Mr Abdul-Salam in his new role, marking this as a significant appointment for the National Lottery Authority.

This appointment highlights the government’s commitment to ensuring effective leadership in state institutions.

Mohammed Abdul-Salam is expected to steer the affairs of the NLA and work towards achieving the Authority’s mandate.
