4 Subtle Ways To Break Up With Your Partner

Published

on

Dating and relationships take a toll on young people these days and many people are of the view that dating is a waste of time. We are looking at some nice ways you can call it off with your partner without any bad blood between the two of you.

Stop communicating with your partner: to break loose of a toxic relationship, you need to deliberately create an avenue where you reduce the number of times you communicate with your partner. Relationships thrive on communication so the absence of communication means it won’t work.

2. Stop being there at all times: If you are always there for your partner to lay their heads on your shoulders, they assume you are always around for their hard times. Distancing yourself will make your partner to read the signs and back- off from the relationship.

3. Be stingy: if you stop doing the things you used to do for your partner like providing financial assistance for your partner, they will start getting angry at you at every least mistake and can lead to the breakup of the relationship. If your partner depends on you for everything and you stop helping out, they will leave the relationship.

4. Start spending less time and be superstitious: it puts a lot of partners off when excuses are always made to spend some time together. If you start becoming suspicious and superstitious, nobody wants to be in a relationship with a superstitious person so they will gentle exit the relationship.

Trump Signs Executive Orders Banning TikTok And WeChat From Operating In US In 45 Days

Published

on

President Donald Trump on Thursday August 6, signed executive orders banning social media apps TikTok and WeChat from operating in the US in 45 days if they are not sold by their Chinese-owned parent companies.

The executive orders, one for each app take effect in 45 days.

In the executive order, which declares TikTok a “national emergency”, Mr Trump claims the app “automatically captures vast swaths of information from its users,” such as location data and browsing and search histories, which “threatens to allow the Chinese Communist Party access to Americans’ personal and proprietary information — potentially allowing China to track the locations of Federal employees and contractors, build dossiers of personal information for blackmail, and conduct corporate espionage.”

The order regarding TikTok prohibits after 45 days “any transaction by any person, or with respect to any property, subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, with ByteDance Ltd.,” the Chinese company that owns the social media platform.

For WeChat, which allows its users to transfer funds to each other, the order states it will ban financial transactions with Tencent, a Chinese based company. The order states “any transaction that is related to WeChat by any person, or with respect to any property, subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, with Tencent Holdings Ltd. (a.k.a. Téngxùn Kòngg? Y?uxiàn G?ngs?), Shenzhen, China, or any subsidiary of that entity, as identified by the Secretary of Commerce (Secretary) under section 1(c) of this order.”

Trump issued the orders under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, a law that grants the administration sweeping power to bar US firms or citizens from trading or conducting financial transactions with sanctioned parties.

On Monday August 3, Trump said he would support the sale of TikTok’s US operations to Microsoft and set September 15 as the deadline for TikTok to find a US buyer.

He also said the deal would have to include a “substantial amount of money” coming to the US Treasury.

In a statement, Microsoft said its CEO, Satya Nadella, spoke to Mr. Trump and “is prepared to continue discussions to explore a purchase of TikTok in the United States”.

“[Microsoft is] committed to acquiring TikTok subject to a complete security review and providing proper economic benefits to the United States, including the United States Treasury,” the company said.
