Apple To Discontinue The iPod After 21 Years

Published

on

Apple has announced the discontinuation of its iPod Touch music player, bringing to an end a device widely praised for revolutionizing how people listen to music.

When the first iPod was released in 2001, it could hold 1,000 songs. Apple’s streaming service now has more than 90 million songs.

The iPod Touch was created by the same team that created the iPhone, which quickly eclipsed the iPod.
Apple’s iPod was last updated in 2019.

Various iPod models have been released over the years, including the Nano and Shuffle, but the iPod Touch, which was released in 2007, is the most recent model to be discontinued.

Apple says it will be available for purchase “while supplies last.”

According to Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice-president of worldwide marketing, the device “redefined how music is discovered, listened to, and shared.”

iPod users have taken to social media to share their reactions to the news and memories associated with the music players.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs unveiled the first iPod model in 2001 with much fanfare and anticipation, dressed in his trademark jeans and black turtleneck.

After the invitation to the launch event read, “Hint: It’s not a Mac,” there were rumors that the company was going to announce a new music player.

“Music is an important part of everyone’s life.” Music has always existed. “It’ll always be there,” Jobs said during his hour-long presentation.

The night’s big headline was simple: “1,000 songs in your pocket.”

Many celebrities, including John Mayer, U2, and Oprah Winfrey, have lent their support to the iPod over the years. BMW was the first to introduce a car entertainment system with an integrated iPod system, and most car manufacturers quickly followed suit.

A seller on eBay, an online auction site where users can buy and sell items, had an embarrassing moment when she posted a nude photo of the platform while listing her air fryer for sale.

A woman in her twenties listed a Multi-Cooker for auction. She took the time to include the exact model number in the title and included four photos of each part of the utensil.

However, it is the last photo that has gotten everyone talking and has prompted dozens of buyers to place bids. Instead of sharing another zoomed-in shot of the kitchen essential, the seller inadvertently posted a nude photo of herself that was clearly not intended for the advertisement.

She was seen standing in front of her bedroom mirror wearing nothing but skimpy black pants. Unsurprisingly, the ad quickly became popular on Twitter.
