Barcelona Confirm Return Of Dani Alves

Published

on

Barcelona have confirmed an “agreement in principle” for the return of Dani Alves, who will become the first signing since Xavi Hernandez was appointed as the new first-team head coach.

It was recently revealed that Barcelona would be meeting with Alves to discuss his return to the club. He previously represented them between 2008 and 2016, establishing himself as one of the best right-backs of the modern era.

Barcelona published a statement announcing Alves’ return, which read: “FC Barcelona and Dani Alves have reached an agreement in principle for the player to join the football first team for the remainder of the current season.

“The Brazilian will be joining training from next week but will not be able to play until January.

“The club will announce the full details at his official presentation as a new FC Barcelona player.”

Alves left the door open for Barca to make their move, telling Sport in October that he would be willing to listen to offers.

He said: “It would sound very opportunistic to say that Barca need me now. I always said that I left because I saw things were not the way I thought they should be.

“You never want to see everything that [has] ended up happening since I left. I’ve said that when Barca need me and want me, I would be at their disposal regardless of where I am. The affection, love, and respect I have for this club is too much.

“If Barca think they need me, they just have to call me. I still think I can contribute anywhere, but more at Barca because of the number of young players that they have now.”

During his first spell, he won six LaLiga titles and three Champions League finals in that time as a team-mate of Xavi – who left the Camp Nou a year before the right-back did.

Black Stars Head Coach, Milovan Rajevac Sacked

Black Stars coach, Milovan Rajevac, has been sacked, KUBILIVE can report.

The decision was taken following a meeting between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ghana Football Association in the aftermath of Ghana’s group-stage exit from the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations last week.

Rajevac, 67, who returned for a second stint with the Black Stars in September 2021, supervised a disappointing AFCON campaign in Cameroon where Ghana picked up just one point from their three group stage games, finishing bottom of Group C.

The Sports Ministry summoned the GFA to a meeting on Friday, January 21, 2022, in which they directed the country’s football governing body to review the coach’s position because the people of Ghana “have lost confidence in the technical team’s ability to deliver success.”

I’m Expanding My Church To 1,000 Branches This Year : Rev Obofour Says

Founder and leader of Anointed Palace Chapel Rev. Emmanuel Obofour has disclosed his major plans for his church in the year 2022.

The man of God has made some disclosure over the plans he has for his church and his ministry this year. The man of God is unperturbed about criticism and has bemoaned the ‘pull him down’ spirit.

The man of God who has about 378 branches of the church already has disclosed that he will expand his church in 2022. The overseer of Anointed Chapel Palace Chapel said he is going to open about one thousand branches of churches in 2022.

According to Rev Obofour, the main reason why he is expanding the branches of his church is to win one million souls for God in 2022.

“Currently, I have about 378 churches but this year, I’m expanding the branches to 1,000. Don’t joke with me. We’re going to win 1 million souls this year. People will doubt what I’m saying now because, in Ghana, we hate to see ourselves grow.

“The problem with Ghanaians is that we love, accept foreign things and detest things that are locally made here,” he said in his Facebook live video.
