Bullied Quaden Bayles’ Family Reject The $700k Raised From A Fundraiser Set Up By US Comedian For A Trip To Disneyland

Bullied Quaden Bayles’ family have rejected the $700,000 raised from a fundraiser set up by a US comedian, and want the money to be donated to charity instead.

Last week, an online fundraiser, ‘Let’s send a wonderful kid to Disneyland’, was set up by US comedian Brad Williams, who also has dwarfism after the boy’s mother shared an emotional video of him crying and saying he wanted to die after he was bullied at school.

The nine-year-old from Austrialia, who became a global sensation after the video went viral received an outpouring of support with more than 20,000 donors from across the world donating $723,000 to give Quaden’s family the special treat.

But it has now been revealed that Bayles’ family have turned down the trip, saying that the money should be donated to charity to help combat bullying and suicide.

‘What kid wouldn’t want to go to Disneyland, especially if you have lived Quaden’s life,’ his aunt Mundanara told NITV News.

‘But my sister said “you know what, let’s get back to the real issue”. This little fella has been bullied. How many suicides, black or white, in our society have happened due to bullying.

‘We want the money to go to community organisations that really need it. They know what the money should be spent on.

‘So as much as we want to go to Disneyland, I think our community would far off benefit from that.’

Mzbel Asked Us To Kill Afia Schwarzenegger : PRO For Ga Traditional Council ‘Naayewe’

On Saturday 16th January 2021, Mzbel made allegations on UTV’s United Showbiz that she gave GHS2,000 to Ga Traditional Council ‘Naayewe’ to help solve an issue for her but they didn’t fulfill their promise of helping her.

Mzbel said she knows of the law court, but she decided to use the traditional medium since she was told that they’re also effective and efficient.

Mzbel said after they took the money from her, they refused to help her solve the issue, hence, she on live TV labeled the Naayewe as fraud and a scam.

Well, the PRO for Ga Traditional Council ‘Naayewe’ has spoken for the first time on these allegations leveled against them by the songstress.

According to Nii Koi who speaks for Naayewe Wulomo, he said Mzbel came to them so that they can end the life of her rival, Afia Schwarzenegger.

Nii Koi said Mzbel has told several media houses that she came to them for them to restore peace between her and Afia Schwarzenegger but the fact of the matter is, her command to them was to kill her.

The Spokesman for Naayewe Wulomo admitted that they indeed took the GHS2,000 as Mzbel said, but they refused to carry out her wicked plans.

Nii Koi rubbished the fraud allegations from Mzbel and asked the public to ignore her because she is simply bitter because they refused to kill Afia Schwarzenegger for her.

Tracy Sarkcess And Menaye Donkor Donates 1,000 Sanitary Pads To Female JHS Students

Published

on

Tracy Sarkcess, rapper Sarkodie’s wife and footballer Sulley Muntari’s wife, Menaye Donkor have partnered up on a charity project dubbed #SincerelyBRAVEProject.

The main aim of the project is to donate sanitary pads to menstruating females in rural areas.

Tracy in a post on Instagram said the idea of the project came after she was informed about the rampant cases of teenage pregnancy in Minya in Ningo-Prampram.

She stated that the person who made her to know of the social canker said due to the teen girls’ inability to meet some of their basic needs such as buying sanitary pads, some men take advantage of them and it normally ends in pregnancy for the little girls.

At the back of these, Tracy and Menaye have taken it upon themselves to do donations of sanitary pads from time to time to various rural areas.

In her words, she wrote:

“#EndPeriodPoverty #ASincerelyBRAVEProject

The genesis of the #SincerelyBRAVEProject and donation to the community of Minya in Ningo-Prampram started with Faustina Boamah, a midwife who attended our digital skills workshop last year in Oct.

Faustina told me about the Minya community and the dire situation there. The community is faced with rampant cases of teenage pregnancies. The young girls are usually exploited by the men in the community, mostly due to the lack of easy access to some basic needs such as sanitary pads and school necessities, etc.

My team and I decided to search and partner with a sanitary pad brand, that is fresh, has that big “sister appeal” and also willing to collaborate with us to make a meaningful impact. Sincerely Pads by Menaye, was the perfect partner, hence the SincerelyBRAVE Project.

For our visit to Minya, Sincerely pads provided us with over a 1000 pads. In support of this initiative was our resource person, @dr.hannahlisa, who engaged the girls on issues such as menstrual hygiene, sexual reproductive health and abstinence.

@menayedonkor and myself will be embarking on various such activities over the next couple of months. A big thank you to all our team members and everyone who helped to make this a success.”
