Cameroonian Invents Solar Drone To Fight Boko Haram | PHOTO

Borel Teguia, a 25-years-old renewable energy engineer from Cameroon, has come up with a prototype of a drone to monitor northern Cameroon’s borders, where attacks on civilians by the Boko Haram terrorist group have increased in recent months.

The young inventor described the advantages of this light “solar” drone over usual drones, especially in terms of its independence and flying time (from 1 to 2 hours compared to typical drones whose flying time amounts to half an hour).

“I studied in northern Cameroon, and saw many families forced to leave their homes because of the war; I told myself that something had to be done. There is nothing more horrible than war, and nothing more valuable than human life.

“I started working on this miniature device that could fly, make real-time videos and better monitor the Cameroonian borders. I wanted, so to speak, to give the Cameroonian sky an eye that would watch over its borders”, he noted.

Having worked in several local branches of EDC (Electricity Development Corporation) and Aliqo Energy, Borel founded his own company, Тagus Drone, and devoted himself exclusively to the development of his project.

“I realized that there was a huge control issue all over the African continent. Drones could be a solution. Today, drones are involved in agriculture, telecommunications, health, cinematography, construction, art, and culture. This is a boon for our company”.

The engineer speaks about a drone, made of aluminum and plastic, with four symmetrical engines. The drone weighs 700 grams; it’s quite stable, which makes it easier to control it.

Boko Haram, which has reportedly pledged allegiance to Daesh*, conducted numerous deadly attacks in Cameroon, Nigeria, and Chad.

In 2014 and 2015 the militants controlled vast territories in these countries, killing thousands of troops and civilians.

Counselor Lutterodt

Counselor George Lutterodt, the controversial Ghanaian pastor/relationship counselor never ceases to amaze his followers and listeners with some of his ridiculous teachings.

The latest from Counselor George Lutterodt is that it is never wrong to accept a proposal from a married man if you are a lady.

According to Counselor Lutterodt, ladies who are interested in married men have been kept in check and held back with the false threats that Karma will visit them. He stated emphatically that there is nothing like Karma when it comes to dating married men.

Instead, Counselor Lutterodt revealed that most married women have dated a married man before and they did not return the properties they got from the affair when they broke it off and finally married.

But, they will be making jabs and issuing threats to ladies not to date married men now that they themselves are married.

Counselor Lutterodt encouraged young ladies to go all out and date whoever they want even if the person is married and more especially if he is rich.

The controversial Ghanaian celebrity critic was speaking on TV Africa Morning Show on Thursday, 22nd August 2019 when he made the bold assertions.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has signed a new long-term contract until 2023 with European champions,  Liverpool.

The England winger, 26, who joined Liverpool from Arsenal for £35million in 2017 has scored five goals in 47 games for the club.

Chamberlain returned to first-team football at the end of last season after suffering a serious knee injury in April 2018.

On inking the long-term deal, he told Liverpoolfc.com: ‘I’m really, really excited – it’s been in the pipeline for a little while, so it’s nice to finally get it done and just extend my time here, which I am really looking forward to.

‘I feel like I missed out on a year, which I obviously did, so it’s really exciting for me to be able to sign. It’s something that I feel is an opportunity to give that year back and make up for lost time – and hopefully put in some good performances to make amends for not being around last year.

‘You’ve got to count your blessings every time you get an opportunity like this, you don’t get the chance to play for Liverpool Football Club every day. I am really excited to be able to extend my time here.’

‘There might be times where I have bad games and good games and moments where it’s not so good, but I’ll always work through those moments and give my everything to correct them and keep pushing this team forward.

‘I hope that I can do some special things like I did before I got injured and, most of all, be a part of this group of players that go on to hopefully win more things.

‘I’m really excited to see what the future holds for us all and I look forward to seeing them every game moving forward.’
