Date FIFA Will Rule On The Case South Africa Has Raised Against Ghana Revealed



World football governing body, FIFA has responded to the case South Africa has raised against Ghana after the World Cup qualifier match played at the Cape Coast Stadium on November 14, 2021.

It could be recalled that Ghana won the match by a goal to nil with the goal scored by Ghana’s captain, Andre Ayew.

The goal came from a controversial penalty decision and according to South Africa, the penalty decision should not have stood, and that they feel cheated.

On Monday, November 15, the South African Football Association (SAFA) wrote to FIFA and drew their attention to the issue. In the letter the officials of SAFA wrote to FIFA, they want a rematch.

In their response, FIFA wrote;

“Dear Sirs,

We refer to the abovementioned matter, and in particular to the protest filed by the South African Football Association on 15 November 2021 in connection with the match Ghana v. South Africa played on 14 November 2021 in the context of the Preliminary Competition for the Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022TM, African Zone.

Furthermore, we wish to inform the South African Football Association as well as the Ghana Football Association that the above-mentioned protest will be submitted to a member of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee on 23 November 2021 for consideration and decision in accordance with art. 14 (9) of the Regulations Fifa World Cup 2022TM, Preliminary Competition as well as arts. 46 and 54 of the Fifa Disciplinary Code (FDC).

In view of the foregoing, the Ghana Football Association has the opportunity to provide the secretariat of the Fifa Disciplinary Committee with any comments it deems appropriate on the aforementioned protest, if any, by 20 November 2021 at the latest, along with any document deemed necessary.

Finally, for the sake of clarity, please be informed that the Fifa Disciplinary Committee will decide on the protest using the file in its possession (cf. art. 20 par. 5 of the FDC).”


10 Perish, 23 Others Severely Injured In Road Accident Near Savelugu



At least 10 people have been killed in an accident near Savelugu in the Northern Region, officials say.

Police say a KIA Rhino truck carrying 33 passengers lost control and somersaulted after an attempt to avoid hitting a cyclist.

23 others have sustained various degrees of injuries and are receiving treatment in hospital.

The victims were said to be returning from a funeral on Sunday when the incident occurred.

“Six persons died on the spot, whilst 27 others sustained various degrees of injuries and were rushed to Savelugu Municipal Hospital for treatment.”

“Seven (7) persons were referred to the Tamale Teaching Hospital for further treatment. However, 4 persons; Zabaga Alhassan, aged 35, Iddrisu Issah, aged 40, Adam Iddrisu, aged 30, and Yakubu Tyro, aged 33, died on the same day whilst receiving further treatment at TTH. The total number of deaths recorded were ten (10).”

The Kia Rhino truck involved in the accident has been towed to the station for further investigations.

According to the police, the driver is on admission at the Savelugu Municipal Hospital.

Ghanaian-English footballer Callum Hudson-Odoi has returned to Ghana for vacation as part of his midseason break.

The last time the Chelsea forward was in Ghana, he met President Akufo-Addo where he was encouraged to accept the long proposal to join the Black Stars.

Callum Hudson-Odoi who was originally born to a Ghanaian former footballer has not shied away from the fact that he identifies Ghana as his original home.

In a tweet, Callum Hudson-Odoi was seen in a flight flying to Ghana. He captioned the photo: Back to Ghana for a little break! See you soon.

In the comment section, many have added their voice to the plea for Callum Hudson-Odoi to decide to play for the Black Stars. They believe, his presence in the Black Stars will boost the chances of the team to win matches.

Already, calls have been made for the likes of Salisu Mohammed, Tariq Lamptey, et al to accept the proposal to return to Ghana to play for the Black Stars.

Policeman Rapes Suspected Thief In His Custody



A policeman from Asutuare identified as Corporal Roland Agbovi Tetteh is currently cooling off in cells after he allegedly raped a suspected thief in his custody.

According to the police report, the victim is a 17-year-old who was brought to the police station for allegedly stealing from her ex-boyfriend.

The suspect identified as Precious Azumah while in custody started vomiting so Corporal Roland who was on duty opened up the cells so she could clean her mat and also clean the cells.

In Precious’ statement, the officer started harassing her by fondling her breast although she resisted.

It continued that she escaped from the police while being led back into her cells but was rearrested and placed back into the cells

But on Thursday 20th January 2022, at around 11:30 pm the police officer opened the cells for her to go have her bath and stood in the bathroom with her until she finished bathing.

It was from there that Corporal Above Tetteh allegedly forcefully raped her and warned her not to disclose it to anyone.

Precious has been given a medical form to take to the hospital while Corporal Agbovi Tetteh has been arrested and given Police enquiry bail.
