Samini

Legendary Ghanaian reggae artist Samini has debunked reports that fast-rising Afropop artist Deon Boakye has been signed to High-Grade Family.

Samini, who recently released his seventh (7) studio album Untamed in an interview with Sammy Baah on Zylofon FM disclosed he only endorsed the artist for his uniqueness and talent.

He, however, did not rule out a possible signing saying that should that happen, an official announcement would be communicated.

“Deon is endorsed by High Grade, but we have not…like signed him on as an artist that we are going to be managing. If that happens, we are gonna announce that…”, he said.

“And so far he’s been consistent with some of the stuff I’m hearing from him and I only hope that Ghanaians give him more ears and then eventually he can land properly”, Samini added.

During Samini’s performance at the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, he introduced the artist on stage saying;

“I’ve been watching TV and I’ve seen his video and I want to tell Ghanaians I want to sign this kid because I think he has more than what we have seen.”

Nominated for Unsung Artiste category in 2017, Deon Boakye has worked with the likes of Yaa Pono, Strongman, Kofi Kinaata, Medikal, Ko-Jo Cue amongst other influential names in the industry.

Samini has had a great run grooming artists including Stonebwoy and Kofi Kinaata into successful musicians.

Kelvynboy has been tagged by a section of the society as arrogant and even “childish” for his very vocal nature.

His unfortunate comments about Wendy Shay after they had an awkward meeting is one thing that led people to call him arrogant and full of himself.

The Happy FM presenter used his media platform to deliver these words to Kelvyn boy, “He is talented but he needs to take a chill pill, the talking is too much”.

Dr. Cann praised Kelvynboy for his talent and hardwork but cautioned him to be careful of his utterances because being tagged as arrogant is a sure way to lose relevance gradually.

Joe Mettle

Collaborations between gospel and secular artists are often considered a taboo by Christians.

Although some gospel musicians like Lady Prempeh and Philipa Baafi have broken the norm, that has not changed the notion that light and darkness have nothing in common.

Award-winning gospel musician, Joe Mettle has also hinted he’s willing to collaborate with Shatta Wale and Sarkodie.

Speaking on Peace FM entertainment review with sit-in host Kwame Adjetia, Joe Mettle said this collaboration will only materialize if he’s led by the spirit (Holy Spirit).

“Oh yeah, I will only have a song with them (Shatta wale and Sarkodie) if I am led by the spirit” he said.
