Drake Takes Another Shot At Kanye West On French Montana’s ‘No Stylist’ | LISTEN

Earlier this month (Sept. 6), footage leaked of Drake taking shots at Kanye West in an upcoming collaboration with French Montana. Just two weeks later on Thursday (Sept. 20), the London On Da Track-produced “No Stylist” finally showed up as Zane Lowe’s World Record for Thursday (Sept. 20) on Beats 1 radio, where the single premiered shortly after noon ET.

Montana and Drizzy have been a lethal combination in the past, teaming up on records including Rick Ross’ “Stay Schemin,” “Pop That,” “No Shopping,” and most recently on Scorpion’s “Elevate.” “I actually came to Miami when he [Drake] was working on his album. I just played him my music from my album, and he heard ‘No Stylist’ and fell in love with it,” the Bronx-bred Montana told Lowe of the track’s origin.

The 33-year-old says linking up with Drake on potential smash hits always remains an organic process. “Some people make music but you could tell they’re not friends we make music and me and him kind of like the same things in life you know what I’m saying, we from the same era, so it just came together,” he says.

As promised, the low-key song features yet another shot fired in Drizzy’s ongoing, simmering feud with Kanye, with the 6 God dropping the line, “Keeping it G, I told don’t wear no 350s around me,” in a pointed reference to Ye’s signature Adidas footwear line.

Be on the lookout for a dapper visual to “No Stylist” coming soon, as the video was already shot this month in the Bronx. “We went to the Bronx and we shot the video, it has Slick Rick and the old school car with the Louis Vuitton seats and the Gucci seats. We had Cam’ron,” French details. “Dapper Dan, when he used to have his boutique, people used to go to him because he knew how to put certain looks together that they couldn’t even do for these big brands.”

“No Stylist” is slated to appear on Montana’s upcoming album which is still without a release date. “I’m going to make sure this one gets the respect it deserves,” French told Billboard in August.

YBNL Boss, Olamide has just signed in a new rapper, just a few months after signing Lyta, Limerick and unsuccessfully completed deals with Davolee.

Rap sensation, Picazo whose freestyle video had gone viral a few days ago, was signed by the YBNL Boss, Olamide.

The gifted rapper who has also been busy releasing song covers and freestyles on his Instagram handle, was finally noticed by two Ace entertainers, Davido and Olamide. But,Picazzo seem to prefer the YBNL family over DMW.

Olamide wrote while sharing a photo of the new rapper;

“The Indigenous rapper signed two new acts to his record label, YBNL in February. The two acts are rappers, named Limerick and Lyta. The YBNL Boss made the announcements on Instagram, welcoming them to his label, and teasing new videos with them.”

YBNL fond of signing and ‘graduating’ artists with talent. The record label was once had famous artistes like Adekunle Gold, Lil Kesh and Viktoh.

The three of them had exited YBNL in 2016, by mutual consent. This was after spending two years under Olamide’s tutelage.

With these additional artistes, it swells the ranks of talents at YBNL to four. Asides Olamide, the record label is already home to Temi Ovwasa and Davolee.

Olamide has been able to carve a niche for himself over the years as one of the stars who never fails in lifting other up. And right now, he is getting all the praises he really deserves after confirming he has signed young rapper, Picazo, to his YBNL record label.

Spitting flames, Picazo’s freestyle video went all viral earlier this year after it surfaced on Instagram.

In the clip, the teenager is seen giving his best rap performance in his ethnic language, and this stirred hearty reactions on social media, with many people requesting for his details.
