Ecobank Group Wins The Award For Innovation In Financial Services From African Banker

The leading pan-African banking group, Ecobank, is delighted to announce that it has won the Award for Innovation in Financial Services at the 2020 edition of the prestigious African Banker magazine Awards. The Awards, which reward banking excellence in Africa, were announced at a virtual ceremony held on 26th August.

The African Banker’s judging process sought to recognize the African banks that have demonstrated original and practical uses of technology to provide customer convenience, improved and more affordable services, and greater access to the financial services sector in Africa.

Black Stars Striker, Caleb Ekuban Tests Positive For Coronavirus

Black Stars striker Caleb Ekuban has tested positive for coronavirus.

Ekuban, who plays his club football in Turkey for Trabzonspor, was hospitalized this past weekend with early symptoms. The test result came out positive on Monday.

He is the latest player, part of the Black Stars squad for the friendlies against Mali and Qatar, to have tested positive for the virus.

Jordan Ayew, Gideon Mensah, Bernard Mensah, Kassim Adams, and Joseph Aidoo are confirmed to have contracted the deadly virus.
