It is feared that the new deadly Coronavirus may have entered the UK after two people who are believed to have flown to London from Wuhan were taken to hospital with flu-like symptoms.

Some of the symptoms of coronavirus include fever, difficulty breathing, and a cough. The Sun UK reports that two patients have been admitted to a hospital in London with similar symptoms.

Public Health England announced that the current threat to the UK has been changed from “very low” to “low”, with the Department of Health announcing a series of precautionary measures at airports.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock has said there is an “increased likelihood” of cases of the new coronavirus occurring in the UK. However, he said there were no confirmed cases of the virus in the UK. He added that the country was “well prepared and well equipped to deal with them”.

The UK is monitoring flights arriving from China as a precaution.

In a statement to the House of Commons, Mr Hancock said that it was a “rapidly developing situation and the number of deaths and the number of cases is likely to be higher than those that have been confirmed so far and I expect them to rise further”.

He told MPs: “The chief medical officer has revised the risk to the UK population from ‘very low’ to ‘low’ and has concluded that while there is an increased likelihood that cases may arise in this country, we are well prepared and well equipped to deal with them.”

He added: “The UK is one of the first countries to have developed a world-leading test for the new coronavirus.

“The NHS is ready to respond appropriately to any cases that emerge.”

Meanwhile, two police stations in Bristol were placed on lockdown at around 7pm on Wednesday evening over fears that a detained Chinese national was carrying the deadly virus. The Patchway Police Centre and the Trinity Road police station in Bristol were placed under quarantine on the guidance of the NHS after the detainee was said to display ‘flu-like’ symptoms.

In a statement, Avon and Somerset Police said: “Following precautionary advice from the NHS and health practitioners, Patchwork Police Centre was temporarily closed.

“As well as the officers and members of police staff, there was one member of the public at the Trinity Road police station, who was asked to remain in the building a a precaution, while we sought further advice.”

“Following expert advice from Public Health England, it was established this was not a case of the much-publicised coronavirus and both stations were fully reopened, at just after midnight.

“The detainee has been given appropriate medical attention and remains in custody at this time.”

Avon and Somerset Police said following consultation with Public Health England, it was determined the detainee did not have the Coronavirus.

The force reassured Britons there is “no risk to the public”.

According to the Washington Post, in an upcoming book by former Trump deputy campaign chair Rick Gates, “Wicked Game,” that will be published October 13, during discussions about selecting a running mate, then-Republican presidential candidate Trump said to a group of top campaign aides, “I think it should be Ivanka. According to the paper, then-presidential candidate Trump was so keen to the idea of Ivanka as a vice-presidential pick and “cool to other options, including then-Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, that his team polled the idea twice,”

Ivanka told her father it was not a good idea leading Trump to chose Pence after he gave a “vicious and extended monologue” about former President Bill Clinton and Trump’s 2016 rival Hillary Clinton at a breakfast event.

Ivanka, serves as a senior adviser to her father in the White House and has been a prominent fixture during her father’s political career.

Trump, has often praised what he sees as his daughter’s political talent, suggesting in August that his daughter would be a better presidential candidate than California Sen. Kamala Harris, calling the Democratic vice presidential nominee “incompetent.”

“I want to see the first woman president also, but I don’t want to see a woman president get in to that position the way she’d do it, and she’s not competent, she’s not competent,” he said during a rally in Londonderry, New Hampshire.

“They’re all saying, ‘We want Ivanka.’ I don’t blame you.”

The NDC Presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama in the course of his campaign tour has visited Berekum in the Bono Region today 28th September 2020.

John Mahama in the middle of his street cavalcade pulled wads of cash from his car and gave it to some of the crowded party adherents on the streets.

The streets of Berekum was packed as the Mahama passed through to a durbar ground where he would meet the Berekum Traditional council.

The National Democratic Congress-NDC led by its aspirant has put on their full armor of promises and ‘Politricks’ so much to win back the trust of the electorates to vote for them come December 7th, 2020.

It was not long ago that John Mahama addressing people during his tour of Kpando in the Volta Region, stated that his government will legalize the commercial operation of motorbikes (Okada) when voted into power in 2021.

“Our law says okada is illegal, but it is a reality it has come to stay and you can’t stop it. So, I say when we come into the office, we legalize it but we will regulate it.”

Anyone interest in pursuing an okada business will be trained and also educated to obey all needed traffic regulations, John Mahama stated.

Mahama again speaking on Woezor TV, said NDC if voted into power will build more mortuaries in Zongo Communities – a campaign promise that has landed him in serious moments in the hands of Ghanaians.

Graduating from making futile assurances to voters to spraying bundles of cash on teeming NDC supporters at Bono Region has generated an uproar. It’s the topic on the discussion table on social media now.
