George Andah Demands Apology For Vote-Buying Allegations

The press statement reads, below.

Dear Sir,

I write on the instructions of my Client, George Nenyi Andah who is the incumbent Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya West Constituency, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate in Awutu Senya West Constituency for the 2020 Elections, and a Deputy Minister for Communications.
My Client’s instructions are as follows:

1. On 3rd July 2020, whiles he was performing duties in the Awutu Senya West Constituency, he received a call from a lady who introduced herself as Francisca Enchill, working for CORRUPTION WATCH, an affiliate of The Centre for Democratic Development – Ghana (CDD Ghana).

2. Francisca informed him that the purpose of the call was to request for an interview to get his
response on alleged findings made by CORRUPTION WATCH in respect of the NPP primaries held in the Awutu Senya West Constituency.

3. She claimed that CDD-Ghana had conducted “research” that indicated that my Client, Mr
Andah had distributed an amount of GH¢1,000.00, a 32-inch Nasco flat-screen TV, and a standing fan to each delegate in his constituency.

4. My Client denied the allegations. He informed Francisca that the “research findings” could
not be true – as he had not distributed any such item(s) during the NPP primaries. He further informed Francisca that this must be a baseless rumor that may have been concocted by

political opponents or their supporters to create disaffection for him amongst the delegates and the general public.

5. My Client being extremely unhappy with the false allegations, requested for details of the
“research” to enable him present a formal reaction. Due to the seriousness he attached to the false allegations being put forward by CDD-Ghana, he cancelled all his programs in the constituency and immediately (same day as the call) drove to the CDD-Ghana office at Airport Residential Area, Accra.

6. At the office he requested to meet the person in charge at CORRUPTION WATCH. He was
introduced to Dr. Kojo Asante. He informed Dr. Asante that in no uncertain terms that the alleged “research findings” were false and untrue. He challenged Dr. Asante to produce the CORRUPTION WATCH/ CDD-Ghana’s investigative report and evidence of the findings so that he could officially refute same.

7. Dr. Asante and CORRUPTION WATCH/CDD-Ghana failed to give him the alleged report. They
also failed show him evidence of the alleged vote buying. Nonetheless he clearly informed Dr. Asante that the alleged information was untrue, unverified, potentially defamatory and therefore could not be published.

8. Notwithstanding my client’s admonishing and CORRUPTION WATCH / CDD-Ghana’s failure to provide him with the evidence, CORRUPTION WATCH / CDD-Ghana went ahead to publish the allegation.

9. In the publication, CORRUPTION WATCH cited an interview that my Client had with Joy FM’s
Kwesi Parker Wilson – after winning the primaries. However, in that interview, my Client stated that the National Party gave out some money to the delegates for transportation and that he (my Client), also provided a token for transportation as top up. At no point did my Client state that he had given any delegate the sum of money or the items published in the CORRUPTION WATCH report.

10. The CORRUPTION WATCH report has been widely circulated on various media platforms
including Citi FM, Citi TV, Odekro (which is an organization that monitors and reports on parliament and parliamentarians).
As an organization that seeks to promote integrity in public life, CORRUPTION WATCH/CDD Ghana are expected to uphold the same tenets of integrity in the discharge of their goals. The decision by CORRUPTION WATCH/CDD-Ghana to do a one-sided report in respect of my Client has therefore severely damaged his hard-earned reputation.

We are by this letter and on behalf of my Client, demanding a retraction of the publication by CORRUPTION WATCH/ CDD-Ghana within one week of receipt of this letter.
My Client also demands an unqualified apology from CORRUPTION WATCH/ CDD-Ghana. The retraction and apology should be given the same media prominence as the report that has caused such damage to his reputation.

US 2020: Joe Biden Releases His Tax Returns Hours Before Presidential Debate

US presidential candidate, Joe Biden released his tax returns on Tuesday, September 29, hours before he is set to square off with President Donald Trump in the first presidential debate in Ohio.

According to his tax returns, Joe Biden and his wife earned nearly $1million in 2019 and paid $346k in taxes.

Tweeting Tuesday night, Biden wrote; “The American people deserve transparency from their leaders, it’s why as of today, I’ve released 22 years of my tax returns.”

US 2020: Joe Biden releases his tax returns hours before presidential debate

Biden’s tax release comes days after a bombshell report from The New York Times showed Trump paid just $750 in federal taxes in 2016 and 2017.

The shocking figure reportedly paid by Trump was possible due to reported financial losses, a damaging blow to the successful ‘billionaire businessman’ image he has projected throughout his career.

Biden’s deputy campaign manager Kate Bedingfield said on Tuesday that they released the presidential candidate’s financial information to be transparent.

“This is a historic level of transparency and it will give the American people faith once again that their leaders will look out for them and not their own bottom line,” she said.

Trump has never released his tax returns claiming he can’t release them since he is being audited by the IRS.

On Monday he also denied the New York Times report that said he paid only $750 as tax in 2016 and 2017.

When asked about the report at the White House, Trump simply said: “I paid tax.”
“I’ve paid a lot, and I’ve paid a lot of state income taxes, too,”.

Agyin Asare, Kofi Oduro & Sam Korankye Ankrah Are Fake Pastors : Rev Owusu Bempah

Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah aka The Nation’s prophet has called out some renowed Ghanaian pastors as fake men of God who are just deceiving their followers.

According to the founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministries International named the likes of Agyin Asare, Kofi Oduro & Sam Korankye Ankrah as some of the fake pastors in the country.

He made this allegations while speaking in an interview with Fiifi Pratt on Accra based Kingdom FM.

Rev. Owusu Bempah indicated that prophecies of these pastors do not manifest and that alone is a clear indication that they are not genuine.

Attacking Agyin Asare, he disclosed that when he prophecied about the June 4th disaster some years ago, he (Agyin Asare) insulted him and told Ghanaians not to be worried because there was nothing going to happen.

But fast forward the incident happened adding that the families of all those who lost their lives should blame him for deceiving them because if they had listened to him Owusu Bempah, all these could have been averted.

Watch the interview below:

Throwing missiles at Prophet Kofi Oduro, he the latter is not a genuine prophet simply because he sees nothing in the spiritual realm. But all he knows what to best is to make unneccesary noise in the country.

He continued that Prophet Oduro who also leads Alabaster International Ministries congregants is doing everything he can to prove to the world that he is truly from God but the truth is, he is fake.
