Indisputably, Highlife music genre is the heartbeat of Ghana music. Thus, Ghanaians gave birth to the Highlife, therefore, there’s the need for them to put strategic measures in place to protect and develop rapidly the indigenous genre.
So, it’s no surprise that Bisa Kdei, a renowned contemporary Highlife artiste, has expressed worry about the degenerating nature of Ghana’s Highlife. According to Kdei, Ghanaians love for foreign music genres especially Dancehall is a contributing factor to the gradual collapse of Highlife.
“Highlife is struggling as far as Ghanaians continue to give much attention to foreign genres especially Dancehall. We just have to believe in ourselves that Highlife is from us and push higher the indigenous music genre. One thing is that it’s only Highlife that’s putting Ghana out there”, Bisa Kdei said this when he was interviewed by Emcee Bebe, host of Entertainment Xtra on Cape 93.3FM.
Besides, the “Brother Brother” crooner noticed that Ghanaian artistes who are doing Highlife are more recognised in Europe than those who’re representing other genres. To him, you (Ghanaian artsites) can’t sell Dancehall or Hip-Hop better than the Europeans because they’re the originators.
“The Europeans want to listen to indigenous music and instruments comparably to Dancehall among others if you’re a Ghanaian artiste. How can a Ghanaian artiste sell Dancehall music better than Jamaicans?” Bisa Kdei quizzed.
Coronavirus Vaccine Is A “Mark Of The Beast” : US Presidential Aspirant, Kanye West Claims
American presidential aspirant and Rapper, Kanye West, has made a very controversial claim over the COVID-19 vaccine as he reveals it is a mark of the beast.
Speaking to Forbes in an exclusive interview, Kanye West opened up on how he recovered after testing positive for Coronavirus in February 2020.
He also condemned the COVID-19 vaccine as he alleged that it is a chip that is mandated to prevent Christians to make it to heaven.
Sharing his experience, the billionaire Hip Hop star said; “Chills, shaking in the bed, taking hot showers, looking at videos telling me what I’m supposed to do to get over it.
“I remember someone had told me Drake had the coronavirus and my response was Drake can’t be sicker than me!”.
He added saying; “God just gave me the clarity and said it’s time. “You know I was out there, ended up in the hospital, people were calling me crazy. I’m not crazy,”.
“Between all of the influences and the positions that we can be put in as musicians… It can drive you crazy, through all of that I was looking crazy because it wasn’t the time. Now it’s time. And we’re not going crazy, we’re going Yeezy, it’s a whole ‘notha level now. N-O-T-H-A.”
He then revealed he suspects COVID-19 vaccine to be “the mark of the beast”.
“It’s so many of our children that are being vaccinated and paralyzed,”. “So when they say the way we’re going to fix COVID with a vaccine, I’m extremely cautious. That’s the mark of the beast. They want to put chips inside of us, they want to do all kinds of things, to make it where we can’t cross the gates of heaven.”

Diamond Platnumz Used To Beat Me Up But I ‘Enjoyed’ It : Actress Wema Sepetu
Tanzanian actress and beauty queen, Wema Sepetu has recounted her alleged experience while dating music star, Diamond Platnumz.
The entertainers dated about a decade ago and went their separate ways in 2014. While Diamond’s music career had just taken off at that time, Wema on the other hand was the most sought after and bankable Tanzanian actress at the time.
In an interview with Ijumaa Wikienda, the actress disclosed that one thing she misses about dating Diamond Platnumz was how he used to “beat her up”. Wema added that she loved it because he gave her attention thereafter.
She said; “He would beat me up thoroughly.
“Ironically, I loved it when he battered me, I just don’t know why that was the case. But, I remember he would pamper me after assaulting me, and, I think I loved it because he’d give me attention after the battering. Honestly speaking, I miss being beaten up by him, a lot.
“I remember there was a day he saw a suggestive message on my phone. Out of anger, he gave me a hard slap on the cheek. My siblings came to know that I was a victim of domestic abuse. They pleaded with me to leave him, but I told them that they should leave me alone as I was enjoying being beaten up by him.”
In a 2016 interview on Radio Citizen’s Mambo Mseto Show, Diamond Platnumz disclosed that there was no woman he had loved more than Wema Sepetu.
He said at that time;
“I loved her so much that at times when I felt I was going to lose her to another man, I would cry over her.”
