I Can Act Semi-Nude But Only In Hollywood : Juliet Ibrahim

Ghanaian actress, Juliet Ibrahim, has revealed that she could consider taking up semi-nude roles in Hollywood but not in Ghana or any other African country.

The celebrated actress stated, “If I’m called up for a movie in Hollywood and I’m supposed to expose parts of my body and it is going to be done tastefully or even with body doubles because we always have stunt models and body doubles in Hollywood, I would”.

She said the movie industry in Ghana has not got the sophistication of Hollywood, “so, usually, I will turn down movies like that”.

Juliet, who won the Best Actress in a Lead Role award at the 2010 Ghana Movie Awards pointed out that she has been approached by several movie producers with nude scenes in the script but she turned it down.

She said her upbringing coupled with being “an African to the core” means that certain things will be unacceptable, so, there is a limit to what she can do in movies.

The screen goddess said she has played lovemaking scenes in some movies where “I had probably had to reveal some parts of my boobs but it was sides and stuff but it was done tastefully, I was wearing a bra but you will not know”.

For her, in Hollywood, she will be able to do certain things “but not pornographic movies”.

She further entreated upcoming actresses not to trade sex for roles.

“Go for auditions, if you see someone is trying to lure you in another way, leave because at the end of the day it is your talent that will put you wherever you want to be. People will always take advantage of you, it’s happening in every sector,” she added.

She explained that it will be a dream come true to collaborate in movies with award-winning American actor and filmmaker Tyler Perry.

“In Hollywood, I will like to work with Tyler Perry. He is my role model,” she noted.

The mother-of-one has also released a book that chronicles her life experiences titled: “A toast to life”.

Cardi B Shows Up At Court In Style For Strip Club Fight Case

Published

Cardi B

American rapper, Cardi B made a dramatic appearance in court on Tuesday for a hearing in her nightclub assault case in a feather coat with tail, a pair of patent black Christian Louboutin pumps and pretty undisturbed look.

She is charged with two felony counts of assault for allegedly attacking two bartenders in two separate incidents at Angel’s Strip Club in Flushing, Queens, last August.

Prosecutors say the victims, who are sisters, were targeted because the 27-year-old rapper believed one of them was having an affair with her husband, Offset.

Cardi was originally charged with misdemeanours but after turning down a no-jail plea deal, was hit with the more serious counts.
She and her co-defendants Tawana Jackson-Morel and Jeffrey Bush all face four years behind bars if they are convicted.

Prosecutors say the rapper, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, ordered her co-defendants to attack the unnamed victims.

It was pre-planned on social media, they say.
When they got to the strip club on August 15, 2018, Bush allegedly used his body to block anyone from intervening as one of the bartenders was attacked.

He also allegedly filmed the beating.

They then are said to have returned on August 29. On that occasion, Jackson-Morel allegedly threw a drink in the second woman’s face.

Then, she and Cardi B and others allegedly hurled bottles and glasses at her.
She has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Her court appearance comes a day after the publication of her Vogue cover story in which she describes forgiving Offset for being unfaithful.

It is unclear in the story if she is referring to the bartenders or another partner, but she said: ‘When me and my husband got into our issues—you know, he cheated and everything…’

She revealed the pair sought the advice of priests to help them work through their issues.

They share a one-year-old daughter, Kulture, together.

She was in Africa over the weekend where she performed in Nigeria and Ghana on the 7th and 8th respectively.

Juice Wrld

On Monday we reported about the death of one of America’s fast rising HipHop acts Juice World whose dream was cut short by the cold hands of death when he had a seizure at Chicago airport.

In a fresh development to his sad demise, the BBC reports that drugs and some ammunitions were found in his jet moments before he died.

Law enforcement officials were waiting for the plane when it landed, having received information that banned substances might be onboard.

It was during a subsequent search of the aircraft that the rapper had a seizure that led to his death.

An autopsy on the 21-year-old has proved inconclusive.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said on Monday that additional studies were needed before they could determine the cause of death.

Police in Chicago said they did not suspect foul play; but gave some additional details that shed light on the sudden death of one of hip-hop’s brightest rising stars.

Their search uncovered 41 “vacuum-sealed” bags of marijuana, six bottles of prescription codeine cough syrup, two 9 mm pistols, a .40-caliber pistol, a high-capacity ammunition magazine and metal-piercing bullets, authorities told the US media, including the Chicago Tribune and the New York Times.

Two men identified by police as Juice Wrld’s security guards have been charged with illegally possessing guns and ammunition.
