I was heartbroken, wept for weeks when Eazzy left Lynx : Richie’s mother Reveals | WATCH

Mother of Lynx Entertainment boss has revealed that she wept for two weeks when her son’s former record label signee, Eazzy left the label.

Alberta Mensah, the mother of Richie Mensah, said she was simply heartbroken when the singer left.

Eazzy was signed on to Lynx entertainment in 2009 but was officially handed over to broadcaster cum designer Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) in 2012.

Mrs. Mensah, together with her son, in an interview with JoyNews’ MzGee, narrated how Richie had to use his car as collateral for a loan to shoot Eazzy’s ‘Go Go Wind’ music video.

“When Eazzy left, for two weeks I was always weeping. I wept because that was the time he (Richie) parked his car and shot a video for Eazzy; the ‘Go Go Wind’. As of the time, he spent twenty thousand Ghana cedis on that video and when he finished, she came and said she was leaving the video. Richie couldn’t tell me, he kept it for a long time before telling me. And when he told me, it was hell for me,” she revealed.

She added that even though she was heartbroken, she later understood that Eazzy left Lynx because she wanted to contest in the Big Brother Africa reality show.

“Eazzy came for a party once and I told her that she broke my heart and she said she was sorry. She wanted to go for Big Brother [Africa].”

When Richie’s mum was asked how she dealt with musician Asem who also left Lynx Entertainment, the producer rather answered: “I think Asem’s own didn’t really hurt mum that much because we saw it coming. He had started acting up before it happened; he raised his shoulders before he left.”

Madam Alberta added that; “Especially when he got the Glo money, he thought that was the end of the world.”

Kuami Eugene

A beef has surfaced within the last 24 hours between “One Corner” hitmaker Patapaa and the Fadama Rockstar, Kuami Eugene.

The beef was triggered by comments made by the Lynx artiste regarding the Patapaa’s music. In an interview on GhOne, Eugene revealed he had been ignoring requests from the Swedru musician to collaborate on a song. He criticised the One Corner innovator saying, “Patapaa’s kind of songs are not me, he makes too much noise”.

This evaluation did not sit well with the Patapaa. To show his disapproval and to affront his contempt, he has released a diss song directed at the “Angela singer”.

The winner of this beef will be determined this Saturday, during the Zylofon Celeb Gala. Patapaa and Kuami Eugene are slated to battle at the Gala. The Gala will be held at the Lizzy Sports Complex, East Legon.
