I Wonder How Those Who Earn Small Money Are Surviving In This Hard Economy : Berla Mundi Laments

Published

Berla Mundi

With the recent increase in tariffs, living in Ghana has become extremely difficult especially for those living on meagre salary.

In a recent post on Twitter, TV personality Berla Mundi who seems to share the same sentiments with the majority of Ghanaians has asked how people earning little amounts are able to survive in this hard economy

Just this morning MTN Ghana has revealed the increase in charges for all recharge cards and the amount that will be deducted on each amount. It can be recalled that the prizes of fuel was recently increased and Ghanaians have been lamenting since then.

Berla Mundi wrote on her Twitter page;
” Chale Ghana has become tough!!! How are people earning very little amounts managing in the economy?”

With the number of bills one has to pay, it is normal for Berla Mundi to wonder how people are surviving. Some people earn as low as 300 cedis a month and by the time they finish paying their bills, it will be left with nothing.

Meanwhile, Berla Mundi recently left EIB network owned by Bola Ray to join TV3 after not been paid for seven good months.
She is not the first person to leave as her colleague Giovanni Caleb also left few months ago to join TV3 as well.

Bola Ray however came to explain that things were extremely hard for him and as a result he could not pay his staff for 7 months.

Sister Debby Debunks Rumors That Her Cooking Skills Resulted In Her Break-Up With Medikal

Sister Debby And Medikal

When Sister Deborah and Medikal broke up in 2018 a lot of ‘reasons why’ were circulated. Their age difference among other things was rumoured to have been the cause of the breakup.

Others also chose a more outdated reason why… the woman’s cooking skills or lack of it. Once again, her supposed relevance in the relationship was reduced to how well she managed the kitchen.

Not the industry connections and the entry to high profile places that Medikal’s relationship with Sister Deborah might have made possible – nope it was about her ability to cut a few onions and fry an egg that people used to justify the reason why Medikal reportedly cheated on her with Fella Makafui.

Bullied Quaden Bayles’ Family Reject The $700k Raised From A Fundraiser Set Up By US Comedian For A Trip To Disneyland

Quaden Bayles

Bullied Quaden Bayles’ family have rejected the $700,000 raised from a fundraiser set up by a US comedian, and want the money to be donated to charity instead.

Last week, an online fundraiser, ‘Let’s send a wonderful kid to Disneyland’, was set up by US comedian Brad Williams, who also has dwarfism after the boy’s mother shared an emotional video of him crying and saying he wanted to die after he was bullied at school.

The nine-year-old from Austrialia, who became a global sensation after the video went viral received an outpouring of support with more than 20,000 donors from across the world donating $723,000 to give Quaden’s family the special treat.

But it has now been revealed that Bayles’ family have turned down the trip, saying that the money should be donated to charity to help combat bullying and suicide.

‘What kid wouldn’t want to go to Disneyland, especially if you have lived Quaden’s life,’ his aunt Mundanara told NITV News.

‘But my sister said “you know what, let’s get back to the real issue”. This little fella has been bullied. How many suicides, black or white, in our society have happened due to bullying.

‘We want the money to go to community organisations that really need it. They know what the money should be spent on.

‘So as much as we want to go to Disneyland, I think our community would far off benefit from that.’
