iPhone 13 Revealed: Check Out The New Features On Apple’s Latest Product

Published

on

Apple revealed its iPhone 13 lineup on Tuesday.

The company’s new phones don’t look drastically different from last year’s iPhone 12 models. But the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max boast major screen upgrades. And a new video feature should become very popular with filmmakers.

Here are the iPhone 13 models
iPhone 13: 6.1-inch screen ($699)
iPhone 13 mini: 5.4-inch screen ($799)
The iPhone 13 and 13 mini come in pink, blue, midnight, starlight, and (PRODUCT)RED.

iPhone 13 Pro: 6.1-inch screen ($999)
iPhone 13 Pro Max: 6.7-inch screen ($1,099)
The Pro models come in graphite, gold, silver, and Sierra blue.

Better cameras
The new iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini feature dual rear cameras, arranged diagonally. They include a 12mp wide lens with a f/1.6 aperture and a 12MP ultra-wide lens with a f/2.4 aperture.

Apple says the new sensor-shift OIS feature provides steadier shots, and the wide lens captures 47 percent more light than in previous models for less noise and brighter images. The diagonal rear cameras on the iPhone 13.The diagonal rear cameras on the iPhone 13. Credit: Apple

As for the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max, they feature an ultra-wide, wide, and telephoto lens. According to Apple, the wide lens’ f/1.5 aperture has improved low-light photography performance 2.2x over the 12 Pro.

Faster chip
The iPhone 13 lineup features the new A15 Bionic chip. Apple claims it runs 50 percent faster than top competitors.

More narrow notch
The infamous “notch” debuted on the iPhone X. It houses a microphone, speaker, and TrueDepth camera, which is used for selfies and Face ID. Now, on the iPhone 13 lineup, the notch is 20 percent smaller.

Better displays
The iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max feature a Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion, which supports refresh rates ranging from 10Hz to 120Hz for smoother video and scrolling. It’ll adjust automatically to conserve energy.

Cinematic mode
The iPhone 13 lineup’s new Cinematic mode lets users take Portrait mode-style video. Users can manually shift the focus from an object in the foreground to one in the background, or let the feature do that on its own.Apple’s new Cinematic mode looks pretty damn cool.Apple’s new Cinematic mode looks pretty damn cool. 5G connectivity
Once again, the new iPhone lineup features 5G connectivity. The problem? Like last year, 5G coverage isn’t great in the United States. Only T-Mobile’s mid-band 5G network was faster than available 4G networks, according to a comprehensive report from PCMag.

Some iPhone 13 buyers will find 5G useful this year. But it’s not like people who wait until 2022 to upgrade will be missing out on much.

Battery upgrade
The iPhone 12 actually had a smaller battery than the iPhone 11. That’s probably because Apple had to fit new 5G components into the phone. Apple claims to have remedied the problem with the iPhone 13.

With a bigger battery, Apple says the iPhone 13 will last 2.5 hours longer than the iPhone 12, and the 13 mini will last 1.5 hours longer than the previous model.

The iPhone 13 Pro should last 1.5 hours longer than the 12 Pro, and the 13 Pro Max supposedly lasts 2.5 hours longer than the 12 Pro Max.

Larger storage option
Yep, the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max now have a 1TB storage option for all that high-res video you’ll be recording.

A 17-year-old girl has been rescued after she was allegedly defiled, impregnated by her father and then kicked out of the house in Eket, Akwa Ibom state.

According to Facebook user, Oga Yenne, the girl was spotted at Plaza area of Uyo, the state capital, on Tuesday September 21, looking for anyone who might be interested in the baby.

The teenager alleged that her father started defiling her since the death of her mother, adding that he threw her out of the house when she became pregnant.

The pregnant girl has been handed her over to Mrs Patricia Essien Obot, a member of NOTOVOLE Foundation, a Gender Based Violence Committee recently sworn in by Akwa Ibom State Governor.

Read Oga Yenne’s Post below:

So my attention was drawn to this case of a 17years old young girl in Eket who was impregnated by the father.

According to her, the father started defiling her since last year after the death of her mother. The last time she saw her period was December, meaning she is almost due for delivery and had not had any anti-natal care ever.

The father later threw her out of the house, leaving her with no option than to come over to Uyo and find anyone who may be interested in the child. Pathetic ba?

Yesterday, she was spotted at Plaza asking people around if they have a need for a baby. She needed a family to take her in till she put to birth and handover the baby to the family.

Can you imagine that a man saw her at plaza last night, offered her an accommodation to pass the night and slept with her even in this her state?

Today, by the special grace of God, we were able to locate her today at Plaza and I single-handedly picked her and handed her over to the President Mrs Patricia Obot of “NOTOVOLE Foundation” a member of the Gender Based Violence Committee, recently sworn in by the Governor of Akwa Ibom State.

She has taken the necessary actions by immediately reporting the case to the Police at Ikot Akpan Abia, and also a medical appointment has been booked for the girl tomorrow morning. Hopefully, she will get all the help and support necessary for her in this stage of her life.

Special thanks to the people who called my attention to this case. My duty always is to leverage on my social media platforms and contacts to connect helps and assistance to those who needs them. To God be the Glory!!!
