The moment we all thought that Nigerian superstar Davido was a worldwide brand, ‘BAM’ it hits us in our face that the ‘Aye’ hitmaker needs to work even harder so he can be seen and known by music lovers scattered around the globe.

In a video available on social media, the Nigerian musician over the weekend decided to watch the match between Washington Wizards and Cleveland Cavaliers at the Capital One Arena, Washington DC.

During the game, the MC gave the musician a VIP treatment by playing his ‘fall’ song and introducing him to the spectators but surprisingly no one in the video seemed to have any knowledge of who he is.

Interestingly, some Americans are lost on who Davido is — they are on the microblogging site enquiring about Davido who has over 15K followers.

From what we gathered, the recognition is part of a lined-up event towards his American tour which is set to kick off in a few days.
