Reasons Why Beyonce Bounced Sarkodie And Chose Shatta Wale Revealed | WATCH

Shatta Wale

If a hundred people were asked who they thought Beyonce will feature on the “The Lion King; The Gift” album from Ghana, 96% might say Sarkodie. Shatta Wale would have at best gotten 1%. Yet, he was the only one who got featured on the album from Ghana and the only African to actually collaborate with Beyonce on the Album.

As many people are wondering why Sarkodie was bounced for the collaboration which many people think is the greatest feature in Ghana, social media users have found the reason quiet easily.

An old song of Sarkodie throwing shades at Beyonce has surfaced online and people are alleging it could be the reason why Beyonce’s team who are familiar with African music bounced Sarkodie.

In the song, Sarkodie in his usual bragging mode stated that he will prefer to feature relevant Tiwa Savage than to have Beyonce on a song.

Sarkodie speaking in the Twi dialect said:

“Me de b? feature Beyonce anka me de b? feature Tiwa Savage.”

Well, many people believe this was the main reason why Sarkodie’s name never even crossed Beyonce and her team’s mind to feature him on the “The Lion King; The Gift”

As Ghanaians are trolling Sarkodie for not securing this bragging right, Shatta Wale has thrown a wild shot at Sarkodie.

According to Shatta Wale, Sarkodie is a hypocrite and he refused to acknowledge his congratulatory message because he knows it was not from Sarkodie’s heart. He added that Sarkodie only sent the message just to get hype from it.

Although some gospel musicians like Lady Prempeh and Philipa Baafi have broken the norm, that has not changed the notion that light and darkness have nothing in common.

Award-winning gospel musician, Joe Mettle has also hinted he’s willing to collaborate with Shatta Wale and Sarkodie.

Speaking on Peace FM entertainment review with sit-in host Kwame Adjetia, Joe Mettle said this collaboration will only materialize if he’s led by the spirit (Holy Spirit).

“Oh yeah, I will only have a song with them (Shatta wale and Sarkodie) if I am led by the spirit” he said.
