Rebecca Kwabi Wins 2019 Miss Ghana | WATCH

The Grand-finale of one of Ghana’s oldest running beauty pageant Miss Ghana came off yesterday at the Kempinski hotel, Accra and saw Rebecca Kwabi going home with the title of Miss Ghana 2019.

Finalists Sandra Amoani was crowned as the first runner up on the night, with Akosua Opoku taking the second runner up place.

For winning the enviable crown, Rebecca Akwabi went home with a Hyundai Accent as well as other prizes from their sponsors.

There’s been very little publicity on this year’s pageant show and it seems the beauty pageant has lost its beauty after the scandalous statements made about the owner, Inna Patty some two years ago and looking at some of the photoshoots on the Instagram account of the beauty show, confirms that all is not well with Exclusive Events Ghana.

Naa Amerley Tipped To Win 2020 Miss GaDangme; Promises The Youth More Employment Opportunities

Naa Amerley, the current queen of Osu and also a picked queen for TV Africa’s 2020 Miss GaDangme beauty pageant has been tipped to win this year’s event.

According to the Miss Osu Crowned queen, she has some projects to set up for all youths in her Community Osu when she is crowned the winner for the regional event.

She has presented her plans to the general public as she plans on embarking on the following.

How the youth will use their vocational abilities, handy works, and God-given talents to generate funds and income for themselves.

According to Naa Amerley; “it is mostly noted that in Osu or the Ga Communities at large schooling or what they say as Education is something they really don’t enjoy and even if they do, not to the higher maximum. But the good news here is, you can’t sit down without enrolling in any institution at all”.

“Through this platform when I win I will use the opportunity to gain sponsor through the well-known fashion designers, Tailors, Seamstress, chefs, Artist, etc who can liaise with us in uplifting of the hidden destinies of the youth through the sewing, drawing, food and nutritional activities and more”; she added.

She loves singing, dancing, and has Public Relations attributes.

Huawei Now Offers Safe And Contactless Digital Payment Options With The Launch Of Mondia Pay On Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) In The MEA Region

Huawei, in cooperation with the digital payment entity, Mondia Pay, now offers Direct Carrier Billing service (DCB), for seamless, contactless payments for users in the MEA region through HUAWEI Mobile Services (HMS).

Mondia Pay is a leader in the digital payment space and provides a simple, fast, and secure way for consumers to pay for services using their mobile phones. Huawei has been working closely with Mondia Pay, the MEA region’s top digital payments fintech company, as part of its commitment to supporting developers in the MEA region. This strategic partnership will allow for increased DCB coverage and IAP (In-App Purchase) kit capabilities for global developers.

As a result, Huawei and smartphone HONOR users in almost 20 countries including, Egypt, South Africa, Tunisia, Nigeria, Tanzania, Madagascar, Liberia, and Botswana, will be able to make cashless payments securely without the need for bank cards by downloading the app from Huawei’s Application Store, AppGallery. In addition, Mondia Pay will also market Huawei’s games content in Egypt.

The number of mobile internet subscribers in Sub-Saharan Africa has quadrupled since the start of 2010 (World Bank Data) and, for many consumers, it’s the only way they can get online. With low credit card penetration rates in most markets, contactless, online payment solutions can reach wider audiences looking to consume digital content.

Orange Improves Access To Mobile Internet In Africa Supported By Google

The affordability of devices remains one of the most significant barriers to smartphone adoption in Africa. The average cost of an entry-level smartphone in Africa still exceeds 60% of average monthly income making smartphones largely inaccessible for the majority of the population. As part of the line-up of activities for the GSMA Thrive Africa 2020, Orange announced the Sanza touch – an exclusive Orange smartphone and the most affordable 4G Android (Go edition) device globally. This exciting new launch is supported by Google and builds upon efforts since the launch of Android (Go edition) in 2018 to accelerate the pace of digital adoption across the continent. The device will retail around 30 US$ and the ultra-affordable price point is intended to make it the most accessible on the market with the goal of driving digital inclusion and providing more people access to mobile internet.

The Sanza touch is an accessible alternative for everyone due to its price point and features including the Payjoy application, which allows customers to overcome budget issues by paying for their smartphone over several installments (depending on availability in their country).
