Robbie Williams And His Wife, Ayda Field Quit X Factor

Published

on

Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field will not be on the judging panel for the next X Factor, the star has said.

In a post on Instagram, the former Take That singer said they would still work with Simon Cowell on other projects.

Williams and Field only joined the show last year. Some fans were initially worried about the US TV actress’s lack of experience in the music industry.

But Simon said at the series 15 launch: “Ayda has been a revelation. I mean, seriously, she’s been brilliant.”

A quick update from Team Williams… it’s been a very busy year so far. Vegas has been incredible and we cannot wait for June and July to do it all again. I’ve got the massive @BSTHydePark show on July 14 and I’ve written the lyrics and music for the #RSCBoyInDress show with @guyachambers – opening on November 8. As well as all this we’ve got some very big announcements coming soon – but we can’t reveal all yet. Sadly though it’s impossible to do everything … and we’re gutted to tell you we won’t be able to return to The X Factor this year. We will, however, be working on projects with Simon going forward – and as huge fans of the show, we will still be tuning into The X Factor, voting and winding Simon up…x

He explained that you do not necessarily need to be an artist or a music manager to be on the show.

“You have to have taste, good instincts, you have got to like people,” he said.

“Ayda has seen the music business from a different point of view so she brings a different perspective to the panel. I think she’s amazing.”

Field said her years spent with Williams had given her enough experience to be on the show.

“I know that I’ve helped Rob for 12 years now, I’ve had to pick him up off the ground and lift him up,” she said. “I am always incredibly straightforward, I say it with compassion but I stick to my word and carry it through.”

I Blame The Media For The Influx Of Slay Queen Syndrome : Ama K. Abebrese Reveals

Published

on

Ama K. Abebrese

Ghanaian actress and TV personality, Ama K. Abebrese, is blaming the media for contributing to creating the slay queen phenomena.

According to her, most of these slay queens have become popular because the media gives them attention.

“Most of the names I hear on social media are as a result of the media giving these slay queens attention on their platforms. There is no way I would have heard of such names if it were not for the media,” she told Showbiz recently.

According to Ama K. Abebrese, the media giving attention to these slay queens has influenced many other young girls who all want to be there because they know they will be famous when the media gives them the mileage.

Her advice to social media users is to be careful about what they put out there, “what you put on social media is for the world to see and you should, therefore, be careful what goes out there.

She added, “you can be having fun today but in some years to come when you want to take up a job, that is when your videos or whatever you did will be played back to you. Do whatever you are comfortable with but be careful what goes out there,” she said.

Ama K, as she is popularly known, also revealed that a lot of people were living fake lifestyles on social media. I know some ladies who borrow shoes and clothes to take pictures on social media and return them when they are done with what they wanted to use them for,” she said.

Away from the social media stuff, Ama K. Abebrese spoke about the movie industry and indicated that although things were not how they used to be, they could be better.

She has started her new TV show, Champions of Society, on Kwesé TV. The show tackles social and health issues and involves Ama K. talking directly to the people whose lives they affect.

Ama K. Abebrese started hosting TV shows in her teens on YCTV in London. She went on to present on BBC2, OBE TV, Viasat 1, TV3, Ebonylife TV and many others.

I’m Not Going To Quit Black Avenue Muzik : Sefa

Published

on

Sefa

Sefa, a signee of D-Black’s Black Avenue Muzik (BAM), has opened up about her label mates who have exited the BAM label, saying she has no cause to worry.

According to Sefa, she is currently happy at the label and has no plan of quitting the record label.

The talented songstress, who joined BAM over a year ago, and another young talent Mz Forson are currently the only artistes left at BAM.

This was after four artistes‒ including Wisa Greid, DahLin Gage and Freda Rhymes‒ announced their exit from the record label weeks ago.

The artistes didn’t state their reasons for the exit, but D-Black said at a press conference on Friday that it’s a mutual decision to part ways with the four artistes.

According to Sefa, everyone has the right in life to follow which direction they deem fit. There is, therefore, no absolute reason she should be worried when other signees decide to pursue different paths.

“My ex-label mates are very strong people and I know they have a passion for me. Wherever they go you can see the music in them. I don’t know the reason why they left and I am sure they have their own reasons, but as long as I know they are not giving up their dreams that is what makes me happy because they really have amazing talents. It’s their passion; they eat and breathe music. So, that’s my main concern,” she explained.

“I don’t where God wants me to be the next two years or one year but then anything that happens God knows best,” she added.

Sefa now has a song with Jupiter titled ‘Marry Me’, ‘Pepper’ featuring Bisa K Dei, ‘Odo Yewu’ and ‘Shuga’ featuring Dope Nation which she released a video not long ago.

Talking about her passion for music and what she wishes to become in the near future, she said:

“I actually wanted to do music and I also have thought of becoming an air hostess. But when I was growing up, I was really big, so somebody told me that I am too fat to be an air hostess. So, I changed my mind to do business until when my mother started pushing me to start singing in front of the congregation,” she stated.
