Rocky Dawuni ‘Shines The Light’ At Jerry Rawlings Tribute Concert



Rocky Dawuni, Ghana’s first GRAMMY Nominee cum UN Goodwill Ambassador for the Environment for Africa, pulled a very receptive performance at the Jerry Rawlings Tribute Concert held recently.

The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture celebrated Ghana’s Former President (of blessed memory), Lt. Col. Rtd.  Jerry John Rawlings with a virtual concert on Friday, April 30th.

The Virtual Concert held at Silicon House Productions had the family and representatives of the former President, members of the diplomatic corps, politicians, members from the corporate sector and affiliate government ministry representatives in attendance.

Many creative industry players passed through to give their support to the late statesman.

Other performers who represented on the night were Amandzeba, Kofi Kinaata, Okyeame Kwame, Yaa Yaa, Pat Thomas, others.

Rocky Dawuni displayed splendid showmanship on the night and many in attendance mentioned that he was the ‘Best Performer’ of the night.

Rocky Dawuni received the first GRAMMY nomination for Ghana with his 2015 Album “Branches Of The Same Tree.” Collectively, he has released 7 creative studio albums and one EP. He is a well-traveled musician who has represented his country and run dozens of humanitarian projects and concerts across the world from Africa to USA to Europe, Asia and across The Middle East.


Kwesi Omega Emerges As MC Of The Year At The Fashion And Lifestyle Award 2021



Dynamic Ghanaian master of ceremonies (Mc) Norshie Israel Asiwome who is known as Kwesi Omega/Mc extraordinaire in the circles have been adjourned MC of the year at the 5th edition of the fashion and lifestyle awards (FALA) 2021 in Accra.

The impact hub Accra -Osu played host to industry magnets who thronged it’s premises to receive recognition for their work as others tagged along to support their favorite performers and personalities.

The scheme which awarded 20 creatives on the night bestowed on Kwesi Omega, the Master of ceremonies of the year amidst cheers and applauds as event-goers chant, “You deserve it, You do all” among others. All in a positive response to him emerging as the winner of the well-regarded category.

In his acceptance speech, the talented and prolific speaker Kwesi Omega motioned that he is grateful to God and to all who believe in him, voted for him, hired him, passed him events, and recommended him.

He mentioned that, “three years ago I was nominated for this category alongside a few of my top-notch colleagues. The late Wiafe, favorite MC’s favorite MC won the category and I told him I was going to win after him. Few years down the line I have won the most revered category.”

Touching on his motivation and drive, He exclaimed, “Never give up” and continued to say tenderly in a rather calm tone, “to be the best in your industry, you don’t need to beat anyone, you just need to do your best and be your best and be you – be original” he ended as his words elicited applauds from the audience.

Kwesi Omega, a professional Mc and a Public Relations and Communications person have hosted 134 events in his three-year journey as an MC and still counting. He is optimistic about conquering Ghana, Africa, and the world so everyone can experience his talent and craft.

Loved-Up Video Of Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck Kissing At Her Sister’s Dinner Party



Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were spotted kissing in public for the first time since they reignited their romance earlier this.

Ben, 48, and J.Lo, 51, looked so in love during the PDA as they had dinner at Nobu in Malibu, California on Sunday, June 13.

Page Six reported the pair were attending Jennifer’s sister Linda Lopez’s 50th birthday and were joined by her family.

In the video, J.Lo can be seen caressing Ben Affleck’s face before they started kissing passionately.

It was also reported that J.Lo’s kids with ex-husband Marc Anthony 13-year-olds Max and Emme were also present for the occasion.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s romance began just weeks after her breakup from fiancé Alex Rodriguez following rumors that A-Rod, 45, had stepped out on her.

DJ Mensah Holds Stars-Studded Birthday Bash for Mr Drew



Talented Ghanaian Disc Jockey (DJ) Mensah has rallied celebrities at musician Mr Drew’s birthday celebration.

The 3Music Awards 2021 Breakthrough Act of the Year, Mr. Drew marked his birthday on June 10, 2021.

The celebration was put together by DJ Mensah under his Live Konnect platform which brings celebrities together on a monthly basis for networking and performing to band.

“I am proud to have done this for my brother Mr Drew. He is one of the great guys in the entertainment industry and celebrating him on his birthday for me is in the right direction. Also, I must add that Live Konnect has come to stay and it will become a monthly event which will see different artist perform to live band,” DJ Mensah said.

Mr Drew is preparing to release his maiden musical album.

The birthday party was held inside Coco Vanilla, East Legon

Also supporting the celebration aside DJ Mensah were Highly Spiritual Music, Akwaaba Group (UK) and Hyphen GH.

Performing on the night Mr Drew himself, BAND MASTERS, which is owned by celebrated record producer Mix Master Garzy.

Mr. Drew set the wheels in motion with a tireless performance of his hit songs including ‘Mood’, ‘Eat’, ‘Let Me Know’ and ‘This Year’ which were madly received by the cheery audience who had paid to celebrate the occasion with the amazing Mr. Drew aka ‘Seleyy’.

A lot of surprise appearances came through during the event with notable personalities including, Grammy nominated musician and entrepreneur, Shatta Wale, Mix Master Garzy, Nana Aba Anamoah, Kobby Kyei, DJ Xpliph, and celebrated female singer, Eazzy.

Other personalities who attended the party were legendary Kwabena Kwabena, Artiste manager and CEO of Rufftown Music, Bullet, Wendy Shay, CEO of 3Music Networks, Baba Sadiq Abdulai, Angelo, KalyJay, Akan (Ruff n Smooth) and Rev. Erskine.

Colleague musicians such as Lord Paper, Nanky, Malcolm Nuna, DJ Vyrusky, Donzy and J.Derobie also attended the event.

Mr. Drew together with his label mate, Kyrmi gave the party audience a memorable experience with their hit song ‘Dw3’, KiDi the ‘gyal dem sugar’ also ‘Touched It’ with a brilliant performance paving way for other incredible performers including Kofi Jamar, Dead Peepol, Keche Joshua, Camidoh, Kofi Mole and Bosom P-Yung.

Performing his collaborative project entitled ‘Echoke’ by female singer S3fa saw the two electrifying the crowd with their hit songs, while Kelvyn Boy, Fameye, Gambo, Kuami Eugene and Medikal enlivened the thrilling atmosphere with amazing stage performances.
