Ronaldinho’s Mother Dies Aged 71 After Contracting Covid-19

Ronaldinho, Brazilian football legend’s mother reportedly passed away after testing positive for Covid-19.
Dona Miguelina, aged 71, was hospitalized after testing positive for the virus in December 2020, in their home city of Porto Alegre.
Ronaldinho’s former club Atletico Mineiro confirmed her death on Twitter on Sunday, February 21, with a message of condolence.
“It is with great sadness that Clube Atlético Mineiro receives the news of the death of Doña Miguelina, mother of Ronaldinho Gaúcho,” read the club statement.
“The Atleticana Family is in mourning and shares the moment of pain with their idol. May God receive you with open arms and comfort the heart of our eternal ace.

Ronaldinho is yet to make an official statement over the reported death of his mother.
In December, the former, Barcelona and AC Milan playmaker confirmed his mother’s condition on social media.
“Dear friends, my mother has COVID and we are in the fight for her to recover soon,” Ronaldinho posted on Twitter on December 21.
“She is in the intensive care center, receiving all the care. I thank you in advance for your prayers, positive energies, and affection. Mother strength.”
The 40-year-old had a close relationship with his mother, who always accompanied him throughout his career. In 2005, he dedicated his Ballon d’Or award to her.

Kidnappers And Killers Of Takoradi Girls Sentenced To Death : Court Rules

The Sekondi High Court has sentenced two persons arrested in connection with the kidnapping and deaths of four girls in Takoradi have been convicted of murder and sentenced to death.
The suspects, Samuel Udeotuk Wills and John Oji were charged for kidnapping and subsequently murdering Ruth Abakah, 19, Priscilla Blessing Bentum, 21, Ruth Love Quayson,18 and Priscilla Koranchie, 15.
The two pleaded not guilty to eight counts of conspiracy to commit murder and murder.
The presiding judge, Justice Richard Adjei Frimpong, however, gave Nigerians Samuel Udoetuk Wills and John Orji 30 days to appeal the judgement if need be.

Teacher Slashes Colleague With Machete Over An Internship Lady In School

The Police in Kirinyaga County is currently on hold of a teacher for allegedly slashing his colleague teacher in the same school with a machete.
A report by OB network in Kenya indicates the incident took place at Karoti Girls’ High School following a disagreement between the suspect and the victim over a lady who is doing an internship at the school.
It is has been reported that the suspect who is believed to be having a love affair with the internship lady picked intelligence that his colleague is trying to have sexual advances with his partner.
This actually led to a fist exchange with his colleague in the staff common room causing a huge drama as students of the school leaving their classes to watch what was happening.
Mr Alfonse Orina, was subsequently rushed to hospital with injuries all over on his head.
The lady who is in the middle of this pathetic drama is reportedly a fourth-year student at the university who is only in the school for only 6 months undertaking her teaching practice.
“The two male teachers are in a love affair with one female teacher. We have also recovered the weapon he reportedly used to attack his colleague in the school compound,”
The Mwea East police boss Daniel Katavi confirmed the news as he indicated the suspect has been charged with an attempted murder.

Tsatsu Tsikata Represented Me In Court For Free : Mahama

John Mahama, Former President has revealed that his lead counsel, Tsatsu Tsikata, represented in court for free.
The petitioner in the just-ended election petition case also took the opportunity to appreciate his team of lawyers led by Tsatsu.
He acknowledged them for doing their best to put up a strong case even though they lost.
In his address on issues relating to the dismissal of the 2020 election petition on Thursday, March 4, John Dramani Mahama revealed that his lead counsel, Tsatsu Tsikata represented him without taking a penny.
“I wish to place on record that the service rendered to me by my legal team in this petition was gratis – free,” he said.
Furthermore, Mahama applauded his team of lawyers whom he described as a colossus of legal minds for fighting for their course.
Meanwhile, on March 4, the Supreme Court dismissed John Mahama’s challenge to the 2020 presidential election results in the election petition trial.
