TV3 Used Us To Get Money, They Did Nothing For Me : Mentor Winner Drops Bombshell

Roselyn Akosua Mantey

Roselyn Akosua Mantey aka “First Lady” after almost six years of winning the season seven of TV3’s Mentor music reality has come out to put the reputation of the show which was adored by many into question.

In a ‘long’ reply she shared on social media under a post that sought to find out why after almost thirteen years since Mentor 1, none of the key contestants of the show is seen doing anything tangible in the music space, Akosua stated emphatically that all the blame should be laid at the doorsteps of TV3.

According to her, the contract which is signed with the winners of the show is not fulfilled by TV3. She alleged that the recording and the video shoot deal which is included in the contract they signed when she won the competition never saw the light of day which is why people did not see any musical work from her in the year she won.

“First Lady” described TV3 in the on Facebook as saboteurs whose only aim is to use contestants of the show to milk sponsors of the show and do everything in their power to see winners fail.

“What people don’t know is that when you win Tv3 mentor. The contract you sign with them they don’t fulfill it. Till now I don’t even have a copy of the contract and for a fact you can ask the winners if they have a copy of it. In the contact it’s says they will record and shoot videos, manage you for a year but they did nothing. It’s all lies wai. Since you have sign a contract with then you are scared to mess up, so you have no option than to wait till it ends. They used us to make money and you know managing fame is not easy. After a year no record label wants to sign you cos at the fresh start of your career that’s when they wanted to continue from but since Tv3 has turn their self to konogo kaya osua )no so )ma obi nsua…” Akosua wrote under a post of Caleb Nii Boye.

France’s Bernard Arnault Is Now World’s Second-Richest Person

Published

on

Bernard Arnault is now the world’s second-richest person, according to Forbes’ calculations. The luxury goods titan behind such brands as Louis Vuitton and Moet & Chandon is worth $103.2 billion as of around noon today, up from $76 billion in March when Forbes published our annual billionaire rankings.

At the time he was the fourth-richest person on the planet. His fortune, which hit $100 billion for the first time in June, has been propelled up by record-setting shares of his conglomerate LVMH, which are up just over 50% since the start of the year.

As of Thursday, Arnault is worth $300 million more than Bill Gates, who is now worth $102.9 billion. It’s the first time since 2008 that Gates has not been either the richest or second-richest person in the world. Microsoft shares, too, have been hitting record highs, but they have not kept pace with LVMH. Plus, Gates now holds the majority of his fortune outside of Microsoft. Jeff Bezos remains number one, with a net worth of roughly $124 billion, after subtracting shares of Amazon that will soon belong to his ex-wife, MacKenzie Bezos.

While it seems unlikely that Arnault could catch Bezos, both men have most of their fortunes tied up in their companies’ respective stocks, and another jump by LVMH and dip by Amazon could quickly close the gap. After all, Arnault’s fortune has already grown by $27 billion in the past four months.

To put these gains and his jump in wealth into perspective, consider this: Only five people in the world have officially ranked first or second richest in our annual billionaire rankings since 2001: Bezos, Gates, Warren Buffett, Zara’s Amancio Ortega and Mexico’s telecom titan Carlos Slim Helu.

Bernard Arnault is partnering with Rihanna on a beauty brand and soon-to-launch fashion line.

Behind Arnault’s boom is the fact that high-end buyers continue to pick up luxury goods around the world. LVMH reported record sales and profits of roughly $52.5 billion and $11.2 billion for fiscal year 2018. Sales were up again 16% in the first quarter, to $14 billion. Profits, which are reported semiannually, will be announced in late July.

But Arnault is not complacent. He continues to innovate and refresh LVMH 35 years after he got into luxury goods with the purchase of Christian Dior. Just this week he announced a venture with fashion designer Stella McCartney. The move comes roughly 16 months after McCartney left LVMH rival Kering (run by Francois-Henri Pinault, son of French billionaire Francois Pinault) and took full ownership of her company. McCartney said in LVMH’s press release that since then a number of parties approached her about partnering but that she was won over by Arnault and his son Antoine.

The aim of the partnership is not only to grow the Stella McCartney House but also to expand LVMH’s sustainability efforts. McCartney, whose brand is known for its commitment to sustainable and ethical luxury fashion, will serve as a special advisor to LVMH on sustainability.

“I am extremely happy with this partnership with Stella. It is the beginning of a beautiful story together, and we are convinced of the great long-term potential of her House,” Arnault said in the press release. “A decisive factor was that she was the first to put sustainability and ethical issues on the front stage, very early on, and built her House around these issues. It emphasizes LVMH Groups’ commitment to sustainability.”

That deal follows the luxury group’s two highly touted partnerships with superstar singer Rihanna—Fenty Beauty and Fenty fashion house—as well as recent deals such as the acquisition of Belmond, which operates luxury hotels, trains and even safaris.

Stephen Appiah Impregnates TV Personality Vanessa Gyan : Insider Alleges

Published

Stephen Appiah

Former Ghanaian footballer-Stephen Appiah’s wife is said to be WILD—and sometimes paranoid. But this does not seem to have stopped Stephen Appiah from allegedly chopping down Vanessa Gyan and even having a child with her.

Who the heck is Vanessa Gyan at all?

Vanessa is a Ghanaian-American who made a little name within the Ghanaian media landscape as the daughter of the keyboardist of Osibisa-Kiki Gyan, and then had a low paid TV gig at eTV and briefly at GHONE.

With her being on TV, she started eating from the side table of some popular industry persons—and we guess that’s when Stephen Appiah met her or let’s say when her “trap caught a bayla”.

More than three different sources have told us this week that, Vanessa Gyan has told friends, with one saying she told her directly, in New York, that Stephen Appiah is the father of her child.

Interestingly, while some of her former work colleagues have told us that it’s known by all her friends that Stephen Appiah is the father of her child—at least so she claims, another person close to the footballer stated that, Appiah has not really accepted any responsibility for that child as he allegedly says the sex was just once.

When our source reached out to Vanessa Gyan to confirm or deny the hovering allegation that Stephen Appiah is the father of her child, she vanished into thin air, on Whatsapp, as if she is our contemporary Wukong from the Journey to the West.

Immediately our source’s Founding Editor-Chris-Vincent Agyapong messaged Vanessa about the above, she quickly changed her DP which featured her child.

Of course, the child resembles Appiah—dark and lovely, but that’s not the sort of final confirmation required on such matters.

Whatever it is, we hope the child knows the father. Girls do not joke these days with dishing out the pregnancy sauce…

Asamoah Gyan

Former captain of the Ghana Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan, has recently ventured into the acting business. This comes as no surprise as he recently revealed that he would no longer play with the Blacks Stars in any tournament.

It would be recalled that a few years back, Asamoah Gyan ventured into the music business but that proved unsuccessful after his musician friend Castro underfaya went missing.

Via his Instagram handle he announced that he is starting a new TV Program titled, “The Adventures of Asamoah Gyan Baby Jet”.

He wrote; “Something new cooking oooo Just subscribe on new YouTube channel on my Bio. Subscribe ooooo, yoooo”.

We are anticipating the project of the footballer-musician and now actor. We just hope the movie would’nt be riddled with substandard acting that would make viewers cringe. Fingers crossed.
