UEFA Reveals The Best Clubs In Europe



UEFA has revealed its list of the best teams in Europe.

The list is updated every year by UEFA taking into account the clubs’ performances over the last five years.

It is currently topped by German champions, Bayern Munich.

English champions, Man City; Liverpool, European champions, Chelsea and Spanish giants, Barcelona complete the top five.

In all, there are four English clubs and three Spanish clubs in the top 10.

2022 World Cup Play-Offs: Ghana Drawn Against Nigeria



Ghana’s Black Stars will face Nigeria in the World Cup Playoffs in 2022.

The draw, which took place in Cameroon on Saturday afternoon, will pit West African teams against each other in a two-legged tie for a spot in the next World Cup in Qatar.

The Black Stars defeated South Africa 1-0 in their final group qualifying match to advance to the playoffs, while Nigeria’s Super Eagles finished first in their group after a 1-1 draw with Cape Verde in their final group match.

The third round of World Cup qualifiers will be held between March 24 and 29, 2022.

Bogoso Explosion: Investigation Ongoing On Arthanns Transports Services



The Police, together with the rescue team, are advancing in the investigation of the truck of the Arthanns Transport Services company that was transporting explosives to a mine in western Ghana which suffered a fatality, caused by the frontal collision of a motorcycle.

The fortuitous accident and responsibility of the motorcyclist caused 13 deaths as the last balance 24 hours after the event; as well as some 500 buildings destroyed or seriously affected.

The impact between the motorcycle and the truck was so strong that it caused a huge crater at the site of the collision, according to sources, from a photo shared by the local politician from Apiate, a settlement between the towns of Bogoso and Bawdie.

National Disaster Management Organization, continues with an extensive rescue operation and plans to continue in the next few hours.

The operation has managed to rescue dozens of survivors who are being evacuated to medical centres in the capital, Accra; and the operation led by Amadonu also appreciates the citizen collaboration under his command.

The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources continues with the open investigation, and in coordination with the Police, since the convoy with explosives for mining use from the company Arthanns Transport Services was destined for the Chirano mining area, 75 kilometres from the accident.

Sources close to the investigation say that Arthanns Transport Services is a very solvent and experienced company in this type of service to the country’s mining industry, and that it works for most of the mines and their auxiliary industry on a regular basis.

Milovan Rajevac To Receive In Excess Of $270,000 As Severance Package After Sack : Breakdown



Milovan Rajevac will receive in excess of $270,000 as a severance package following the termination of his contract by the Ghana Football Association.

The GFA in a statement dated Friday, January 21, 2022, sacked the Serbian coach on the back of the shambolic performance of the Black Stars at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Milovan was appointed right after Coach CK Akonnor was sacked and he was tasked to qualify the Black Stars to the World Cup and to win the AFCON.

Milovan Rajevac to receive in excess of $270,000 as severance package after sack 

Milovan was placed on a monthly salary of $30,000.

Therefore, following his sack just three months into his appointment, Milovan Rajecvac has asked for his full salary for the remaining nine months to be paid to him.

That will amount to $270,000 in severance package to Milovan Rajevac.

Sports Journalist Gary al-Smith in explaining the rationale behind the decision of the FA and the Ministry to sack Milovan said the government felt it was the right decision to make as they work to restore the glory of the national team.

Milovan rejected a three-month compensation and the government accepted to pay the full $270,000 severance package after relieving Milovan Rajevac of his position as the head coach of the Black Stars.
