The FNB Stadium was filled to the brim with ecstasy on Sunday when several of the world’s biggest acts joined forces with their African counterparts to thrill millions around the world at the Global Citizen Festival: Mandella 100.

Presented by International advocacy organisation Global Citizen, the event featured amazing performances from Beyoncé & JAY-Z, Black Coffee, Cassper Nyovest, D’banj, Ed Sheeran, Eddie Vedder, Femi Kuti, Kasey Musgraves, Pharrell Williams & Chris Martin, Sho Madjozi, Tiwa Savage, Usher, and Wizkid.

It was the first Global Citizen Festival to be held in Africa.

Trevor Noah hosted the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 with co-hosts Naomi Campbell, Dave Chappelle, Danai Gurira, Sir Bob Geldof, Gayle King, Bonang Matheba, Nomzamo Mbatha, Tyler Perry, and Anele Mdoda.

Oprah Winfrey introduced Sir Bob Geldof who delivered a special keynote address at the Festival remembering Nelson Mandela and his legacy.

Other leaders who addressed the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 include South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Amina J. Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Prime Minister Erna Solberg of Norway and President Nana Akufo-Addoof Ghana, who both serve as co-chairs of the UN Secretary General’s Advocacy Group for the Sustainable Development Goals, President Mokgweetsi Masisi of Botswana, President Paul Kagame of Rwanda, chair of the African Union; President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya.

Others included His Excellency Benedict Bengioushuye Ayade, Governor of Cross River State, Nigeria; Mrs. Graca Machel, UN Sustainable Development Goals Advocate; The Rt Hon Patricia Scotland QC, Secretary-General of the Commonwealth; Dr. Jim Kim, President of the World Bank; Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, United Nations Under-Secretary General and Executive Director of UN Women; Ambassador Deborah Birx, U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator & U.S. Special Representative for Global Health Diplomacy; Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

The rest were Director-General of the World Health Organization, Alexander De Croo, Deputy Prime Minister of Belgium, Gilbert F. Houngbo,President of the UN International Fund for Agricultural Development, David Beasley, Executive Director of the World Food Programme, Ambassador Ertharin Cousin, Board Director of The Power of Nutrition, and Peter Sands, Executive Director of the The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

The Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 will be presented and hosted by The Motsepe Foundation, with major partners, Johnson & Johnson, Cisco, Nedbank, Vodacom, Coca Cola SA, Big Concerts, Harmony, House of Mandela, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Goalkeepers, Eldridge Industries, and Associate Partners, HP and Microsoft.

Eazzy Looks Stunning At The Ghana Music Award UK Launch | PHOTOS

Ghanaian music star Eazzy, known for producing back to back hits songs was spotted at the Ghana Music Awards UK Launch.

The launch which happened at the Accra City Hotel saw the top star looking all stunning at the event as the paparazzi kept taking more pictures of her.

In the photos, the “Away” hitmaker was spotted with the CEO of Ghana Music Awards UK and Alordia promotions Mr. Nii Ofori Tackie who in an interview revealed the maim event will come off on Saturday, October 5th in London.

Other Celebrities who were spotted at the event were Blaqboy, Krymi, Mzbel, Freda Rhymz, Kumi Guitar and more.

Janet Jackson And 50 Cent To Perform At The Saudi Arabia Concert After Nicki Minaj Pulled Out

More high profile stars are set to perform in Saudi Arabia as part of the Jeddah World Fest, after rapper Nicki Minaj pulled out in a show of support for women’s rights!

Superstar singer Janet Jackson along with American rappers 50 Cent and Future will be heading to the Kingdom for the festival.

“We can’t wait to see this incredible icon in Jeddah,” the Jeddah Season Twitter account said of Jackson, one of the most successful female solo acts of all time.

All three stars will be performing in Saudi Arabia for the first time.

The concert on Thursday will also include performances from musician Steve Aoki, and singer Liam Payne.

The music festival is part of the Jeddah Season of activities which falls under the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage’s (SCTH) ambitious program of seasonal entertainment for the Kingdom.
