KubiLiveChat: Good Sir and Welcome to Ghana’s number one online online chat KubiLiveChat
Vybz Santy: Okay its my pleasure to be here also, thanks!
KubiLiveChat: Nice one! Who is Vybz Santy?
Vybz Santy: Well Vybz Santy is a great name I chose for myself, as we all know from the dancehall world VYBZ really means combining words and sayings to rhyme in a good way to either motivate or inspire someone. SANTY was chosen attached to it just because I loved it
KubiLiveChat: That’s champ! Why did you choose music?
Vybz Santy: I had this feeling about doing music because I have had this dream when I was a child, at first it was rap during my primary level in school, then I develop my skills into writing and combining lyrics in my owns words, by then I was a kid and wasn’t able to raise funds for my recording, lol. I never wanted my parents to know because they were more concentrated on my education by then. So as I reached the Senior level in my education I love music as my career and always got the inspiration and motivation from other Artist whenever I sit behind the television to watch them perform on stage.
KubiLiveChat: Wow I see! Never gave up on this dream. Keep the fire Burning! How has your music journey been so far?
Vybz Santy: Well talking about my music’s journey is something I will always say “God is in control” no matter the level I have reached now.
KubiLiveChat: Champion!!! Which Artist do you look up to?
Vybz Santy: Well Well Well as you have in mind !! The African Dancehall King has always be my motivator. Shatta Wale.
KubiLiveChat: Why not Stonebwoy?
Vybz Santy: Haha I knew stonebwoy was also an inspirer and motivator in dancehall music but Shatta Wale was a history by then. So to follow the teacher is better than being influenced by students.. Lol.
KubiLiveChat: : Hahaha! I get it! Is Vybz Santy signed under any record label yet?
Vybz Santy: Not really. Not just I don’t want to be signed but it’s always my priority to be in a good one as well
KubiLiveChat: Alright! Any hit tune so far?
Vybz Santy: Well I have a couple of bangers which is about to hit GH by surprise, as the saying goes “good things comes to those who wait” so I will plead all my fans out there and those supporting the family to wait on this one.
KubiLiveChat: Hero! So far is that your only big platform?
Vybz Santy: Well I had a couple of performances on huge platforms, I had one at Cape Coast Sports Stadium which was hosted by Dr Pounds and Como Promo on the 18th of February 2017; I had one too at Winneba. This programs were hosted by good events managers and Shatta Wale my Dancehall Daddy was always the biggest Artist on bill. These has been the biggest platforms now, talking about other programs which is uncountable.
KubiLiveChat: That’s great! Looking at the issues facing MUSIGA will you ever join them?
Vybz Santy: Well I will say MUSIGA has been there to help rise and support Ghana Artists to reach their limits and also promote the country’s entertainment views “in their own ways “. But I think there’s something striking the headlines about promoting upcoming artists. And I will join the organization to help them notify the young ones because (We) are the future to be and there should be much attention given to us in such a field, as music has been categorized in many ways, I think its about time MUSIGA call on a meeting and plan on promoting upcoming also.e MUSIGA call on a meeting and plan on promoting upcoming also.
KubiLiveChat: That’s very great! Any celebrity crush?
Vybz Santy: Ebony Reigns. She has always be my turn on, her style on stage and her looks… So sexy LOL.
KubiLiveChat: Hahha alright. Where do we see Vybz Santy in the next 3 years?
Vybz Santy: You guys should be expecting something big frm next year 2018. When I get the fire blazing its gonna blaze forever. I don’t want to be limited to a time I just want to exceed my music to the highest level ever.
KubiLiveChat: Sharp sharp! Any last words for your fans?
Vybz Santy: Well ! To all my people I will say the biggest thing is yet to come, more bangers to hit your speakers and I promise this will get us somewhere great. Keep your fire burning on supporting VYBZ NATION FAMILY, tell a friend to tell a friend and let’s trend globally. Same love to y’all and I will be on social media to hit up your responds on my stuffs… Keep it locked down… Everybody BUMPA
“Shay D” Talks Career, Shatta Wale And More On “KubiLiveChat”
KubiLiveChat: Welcome to KubiLiveChat, Ghana’s number one online chat
Shay D: Thank you.
KubiLiveChat: To kick off with Who is Shay D?
Shay D: Nana Kojo Ayisah Amakyi (born 6th September 1993) better known by my stage name ShayD, is a Ghanaian singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur. He is an Afrobeat expert despite his versatility, a fusion sound he describes as a style of popular music incorporating elements of African music and jazz, soul & funk.
KubiLiveChat: Why the name Shay Demon (Shay D)?
Shay D: ShayD generated from the English word “shady” which means being doubtful. Being doubtful in the sense that you cannot predict my next move which always keeps me ahead.
KubiLiveChat: That’s champ! How did this music thing start?
Shay D: Well, I will say its a gift right from birth. Music has been my passion since childhood to date. Growing up, I was pushed into various music societies, from the schools’ choir to the church etc because of the interest I showed as a child. Moving forward I started creating, writing and recording my own songs that were in the Senior High School (St. Augustine’s College Cape-Coast, 2008 to 2012) and by Grace, we are able to make impacts till date.
KubiLiveChat: That’s great! How long have you been in the music industry?
Shay D: I have been fully in the music industry for 5 years now but my experience goes beyond that.
KubiLiveChat: How has the journey been so far?
Shay D: As the saying goes, “there is no rose without thorns”. It hasn’t been an easy journey, the rise and fall, the good times and bad times, the happy times and sad times, but without all of these the journey isn’t fun but with Christ, in the vessel, we will definitely smile at the storm.
KubiLiveChat: How many tracks have shay D released so far?
Shay D: So far ShayD has released two songs. One with our very own legend, Trigmatic and it’s titled “That Guy” which is currently making waves in the Ghanaian industry after following the release of the song with a massive video shot and directed by Esianyo Kumodzi. The second features voice box Luther which is titled “Hingbele” and produced by B2. ShayD is set to release yet another single titled “Capa” produced by DrRayBeats in no time and promises his fans to expect more.
KubiLiveChat: That’s great! Is Shay D signed under any record label?
Shay D: ShayD isn’t signed under any record label yet but has a group of wonderful people coming together as a team to push his works. It is although my wish to get signed someday to a very big label.
KubiLiveChat: May your dream come true! Whom does Shay D Look up to in his music career
Shay D: I will always put myself first so I will say I look up to my goals, they know how huge they are and what that will make me.
KubiLiveChat: That’s very great! Any celebrity crush?
Shay D: No please, haven’t realized any yet. But I like Ebony!
KubiLiveChat: Wow! Will you ever join MUSIGA?
Shay D: I don’t have plans for joining MUSIGA. Firstly, I am into this music game because of the passion I have for it. I do this for the love and for my fans without expecting anything in return, be it awards, royalties whatsoever. All I know is I am the best!
KubiLiveChat: That’s pure confidence. Among all the tracks you have released which have been your major hit?
Shay D: I will say “That Guy” which features Trigmatic.
KubiLiveChat: That’s great!!! Any challenges so far in your music career?
Shay D: Of course, like I said earlier on, nothing comes easy. There have been series of challenges along the way but the good news has we overcome them as and when. Nothing too large by the Grace of God.
KubiLiveChat: Keep the fire burning!!! Based on your new incoming tune “Capa” seems Shatta Wale has a turn similar to that what’s your take on this?
Shay D: I don’t regard that as a problem. If even we are to kill the same beat, I am better than Shatta Wale, if you doubt me compare my second song with Luther “Hingbele” to Shatta Wale ft Joint 77 “Go Mad”, you will realize it has the same instrumental, now I will leave you to decide who killed that beat, whether me or Shatta!!!
KubiLiveChat: Wow!!! Will you ever love to have Shatta Wale on the same track?
Shay D: It will be a great pleasure working with him.
KubiLiveChat: That’s great! Eventually, u gonna kill the beat?
Shay D: Its a sure bet.
KubiLiveChat: Ibi so! Where do you see yourself in the next 3 years to come?
Shay D: Well, it is my wish to play a vital role in this music industry, not only will I want to be great but also to transform and touch the lives of people through music which is my biggest goal amongst others.
KubiLiveChat: Great one!!
“Brapurple” Talks Hip-Hop, Celebrity Crush & More On “KubiLiveChat”
KubiLiveChat: Good day Sir and Welcome to Ghana’s number Online Chat!!!
Brapurple: Thank you.
KubiLiveChat: To kick off with, who is Bra purple.
Brapurple: Brapurple is a Ghanaian musician and a visualizer.
KubiLiveChat: Wow but I heard he is also a blogger.
Brapurple: Lol. Let’s just say it’s part of the composition. Just adds up to the brand. But for now, the focus is music.
KubiLiveChat: Alright why shift from blogging to music?
Brapurple: The blogging is just a hobby. I do it to release stress. I find it a safe haven. Cause it exposes me to the world every minute.
KubiLiveChat: That’s great and a very rear kind of hobby. Who is Bra purple in real life?
Brapurple: He’s just a normal student trying to make the better out of himself and his surroundings.
KubiLiveChat: I see. What is his real name then?
Brapurple: Nanabanyin Egyei Wilberforce. But the “Egyei” is not commonly known. But it holds on all documents too.
KubiLiveChat: That’s great to hear. As a young rising musician. How has the struggle been?
Brapurple: Thank you, Brother, lol. The struggle! It’s never been easy. we still on the untarred road. Definitely, with God, we’d get there. I believe he is working and his son is extremely working too. There is hope
KubiLiveChat: That’s real trust and believe in God. Keep it up. How many years now have you been into music now?
Brapurple: Professionally it’s been two years now.
KubiLiveChat: That’s wonderful!!! How many tunes have you dropped so far
Brapurple: 3 tunes sir.
KubiLiveChat: Which has been your major hit so far?
Brapurple: I’d say “Al Right”. It took me to places I never imagined.
KubiLiveChat: Glory! Glory! Glory! Has any record label approved you?
Brapurple: No but I’m praying they’d recognize me soon. Aiming for anyone whether locally or internationally
KubiLiveChat: That’s great!!! Who really inspired you to pick the music?
Brapurple: That’s a nice question with two answers. To pick the music? I’d say the first inspiration came from my granddad. He used to sing Methodist hymn songs which I got addicted to. And growing up I was engulfed with hip-hop. Everything about hip-hop was cool to me. Although people criticized hip-hop I see it to be a culture, it’s a lifestyle. Not only hip hop but highlife music from CK Mann, Ambolley and those renowned musicians too.
KubiLiveChat: That’s wonderful! As at now, you know Ghana doesn’t really embrace Hip Hop that much. How do you intend to break in with that?
Brapurple: The mentality of “Hip Hop doesn’t work in Ghana” is gradually fading out. Now we are witnessing the new age. The likes of Kwesi Arthur, Bryan The Mensah, La Meme Gang and a few I must say. The new generation vibes with anything. So it’s not necessarily just the “Azonto” minded type of music. Hip-hop is also another genre just as we have “Highlife” and others. We can still breakthrough with it. People have done it, so why can’t I?
KubiLiveChat: Dope! REAL determination.
Brapurple: Thanks, I appreciate that.
KubiLiveChat: Will you ever sign up to MUSIGA?
Brapurple: Yeah I will if the time is due. My producer is currently signed to Musiga.
KubiLiveChat: That’s great to hear!!! Apart from your producer which other producers will you really love to work with?
Brapurple: Legendary Kaywa.
KubiLiveChat: Hahaha why not Killbeat?
Brapurple: I’d love to work with Killbeat. But you see Kaywa has been in the game for long. It will be like an achievement working with him; the “Kaywa b) me piano” even kills me hahaha.
KubiLiveChat: Hahaha you funny. So you dey wan make Kaywa play you piano too Hahaha!
Brapurple: Chale! Everything some, saxophone, conga, everything.
KubiLiveChat: Hahahhaah! That’s great. I pray your dream comes true real soon!!!
Any new tune coming?
Brapurple: Amen. Yeah, it’s on the way. a mind-blowing one. That’s great. Now my people anticipate this one!!! Who is your celebrity crush?
KubiLiveChat: Why her. She has been on and off for some time now.
Brapurple: Her style is generic with her French blend. I don’t know it’s like a copied assignment I can’t explain. I just love her.
KubiLiveChat: Wow!!! Where do wanna see yourself in the next 5 years to come!!!
Brapurple: Next 5 years. International stage. Everywhere and on every continent.
KubiLiveChat: Amen!!! Any last words for your fans?
Brapurple: They should just keep supporting and I’m not letting anyone down.
KubiLiveChat: Ibi so. Kindly send us your social media handles.
